This game is certainly not for everyone, its a game about spinning cards on plates to get more cards, and not knowing what will happen. And its very grindy. First of all you need to learn to survive, then to progress. The first part is hinted by the very same verbs that want to end you, then second you can learn from the cards you use, either on the cards themselves, or on their aspects. It can take a long time to learn all of that by yourself. If you dont want too much time on experimentation, go to wiki. If you dont want to spoil yourself but still want a helping hand, try the Cryptic Reference guide. It has almost all of the relevant info from wiki in it, but its behind a cipher of the games own mechanics - its a map that you will learn to read as you learn to play the game.

Onto writing and spoilers: card descriptions and ongoing action descriptions provide you with both gameplay hints and worldbuilding, for the second part of it, the style is vague. For me its a very good combination, core gameplay elements: 8 main aspects, those are the principles of the world but also of the game. The writing merges gameplay and lore in a way that I didnt see any game do before, not in terms of quality, but in terms of style.

DLCs: Dancer adds a few new major endings, but of them are mechanicly almost the same, Priest adds a single new major ending and is more or less the most vanilla of the DLCs, Ghoul is similar to Dancer but it adds only one major ending. Exile doesnt add anything to the main game, its an entirely different game with the same principles in place, but the core gameplay mechanic is very different. If main game is spinning plates, Exile is you running away, grabbing stuff you might need and then eventualy either outrunning the game, or turning back around to for the final showdown.

Has action similar to Bastion, effect mixing to almost the same degree as Transistor and expanded cast like with Pyre. And like all of those 3, Darren Korb has delivered on the music once again.

I dont like Sport games at all. Yet this game managed to peek my intrest. I preordered it, the thing that I can only bring myself to do for this studio only. Game has a great story, solid gameplay and above all else, the soundtrack. For a while I feared that it would be too short but its not. It is repetitive after some point but if you enjoy gameplay it wont be a problem. Be prepared to read a lot.

This game is not for everyone. If one aspect of the game is not to your taste, I could imagine it would be harder to enjoy it but it still would be possible.

One aspect I dont like is less narration. I hope that next will have more.

Dont trust what Steam says, its not 500-ish hours, its 1700-ish.
A game is what Destiny should have been. And it was on market before Destiny. 3rd person shooter co-op up to 4/8 players with abilites. The game is also F2P, but has microtransactions. What it doesnt have is P2W. Almost every item in game can be aquired via farm, tradeing or events. The only items that cant be gained this way are cosmetics within "Prime Acces" or Steam skins. Any other cosmetic can be aquired by playing even if it costs premium currency to get. The game has trading system that allows to trade almost any item for another item, that includes premium currency.

All of that means that the game is grindy, and it is. The upside to that, game is fun for those who enjoy 3rd person shooters.

Disclamier: One thing that you will never get in game is closed beta exclusive content and Excalibur Prime pack.

Very fun game for those who enjoy difficult games. Stylistic graphics and voice acting only adds to the atmosphere of danged on every turn. The game can ♥♥♥♥ on you, but when it does and you survive, one of the most satisfying moments in games I ever had. I would recomend it to every gamer who enjoys turn based, dungeon crawler and hard games.
