This remake is completely amazing.
UPDATED AFTER COMPLETING:
I really feel so emotional after finishing the game. They really captured the soul of the first game and the actor for James does such an amazing job and you can feel the emotions. I absolutely feel he did the most phenomenal job. I am completely blown away. All the voice actors were amazing. Definitely going to play again.

This remake surprised me as i was expecting the game to be good, but i did not expect it to be this good.
Bloober Team nailed this remake completely and not only stayed true to the original game, but they expanded upon the content in a good way. I feel the same sorrow, terror, and dread I felt when i played the original game oh so long ago. It had been a very long time but there were many familiar things that had me nostalgic when I saw them.

The music in this game is absolutely amazing and gives the same vibe the original game had. I absolutely loved the voice acting and James character was played spectacularly. His voice actor did an amazing job as you could feel all the emotions James was having.
The game looks absolutely gorgeous and Silent Hill never looked better and creepier than it does in this game.
The game ran absolutely great for me with my RTX 3060 with 12 GB VRAM and my intel i7 13700 CPU and 32 GB computer RAM. In my 30 hours of play I had only one crash due to Unreal Engine, other than that my performance was fine throughout the game. I ran the game with all high settings and at 1080p.

I have 2 favorite series and they are Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Being a massive Silent Hill fan, I can report that this game lives up to and exceeds the original game and is really a GOTY contender in my opinion.

I really hope they make remakes of Silent Hill and Silent Hill 3 after this because going back to Silent Hill with these realistic visuals, updated graphics, and updated game play has been an absolute treat for me.

The game is absolutely one of the best remakes right up there with Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space remakes.
If you were on the fence about getting the game, just get it. You will not regret it at all. I am looking forward to continuing the game and finding every secret area and completing the game. There are also quite a few endings which require you to do certain things throughout the game and a few of the endings can only be obtained in New Game plus.

I updated my review above and man what an amazing experience this game has been. This game is an easy must buy and a 10/10 as far as remakes go, and I do not regret the purchase at all. I will be visiting Silent Hill many times again in the future with many playthroughs. I am already to experience the entire game again maybe on a harder difficulty as I played on the standard, so maybe time for Hard difficulty in new game plus.
