I've played most of the notable VR games on my Quest 2 and I can say that Half-Life Alyx is at the top of the list. If the reputation of the developer and game engine are any indication, immersiveness is brought to a whole new level by fully utilizing VR in as much detail as possible. The amount of objects you can hold, how much you can interact with the environment is already a unique experience by its own merit.

With that in mind, gameplay is designed in a way that it tests the ingenuity of the player. When the music kicks in, the combat with Combine Forces becomes a dance of death in constant motion. It never ceases to amaze me at every step of the way all while having visual fidelity that surpasses other VR titles. This shows how VR is capable of being more than just a proof of concept.
