A good game. Gameplay and controls are just as solid as its predecessor and the new frozen setting is graphically appealing and fun to explore (bonus points for having the devs use area designs in this game that were scrapped in subnautica, like the twisty bridges). Below Zero also introduces quality of life features which are overall nice to have. What bugs me however, are the new vehicles. The snowfox is cool but basically just a seaglide on land. The cyclops and seamoth have been removed in favour of the seatruck, which is a good way of integrating the "mobile base function" in a smaller map, however the iconic status of those 2 makes the loss a bit bitter. While the new fauna is uniquely designed and interesting to scan and learn about, what i am missing is the scare aspect of fear. The new leviathan designs are intimidating but there arent enough of them. There are also less deep dark zones like the bulb zone or the lost river. Everything is brighter and less intimidating.
Verdict: Smaller scale than the first game, beautiful environments and rock solid survival mechanics.
The game is not as scary as the first one, but still a perfectly fine subnautica experience. Only pick it up if its on sale though.

Very good game. Even if damage numbers are a bit volatile.

Good for beginners to get into RTS games, I should know. The strategies might be less deep than in competing games, but the story and setting make up for it.

It's ok. Can be quite relaxing at times.

Amazing game, straightup. Immersive, fun, and surprising replay value even when you know the map like the back of your hand.
