A really outstanding horror game. Probably the best in its genre I have recently played.

This is a mix between nordic mythology, science fiction and horror, and the result is just awesome. The graphics are marvelous (I can't believe it is an indie game); the story is great; the atmosphere, combining the grotesque and dark scenery with some exceptionally creepy sounds that make you feel like you are constantly stalked by some weird creature, is perfect for this type of game; the voice acting is remarkable, it really feels like you get in touch with those characters, and the crying and screaming of the enemies makes everything even more creepy; I also really liked each one of the game mechanics, like the special vision to see in the dark and to check for hidden writings, your shiny arm and its beams to defend yourself or unlock doors, the other world you have to escape from every time you die, and even the simple movements of the character felt really smooth and polished. The world itself is interesting and gorgeous (on its way) enough, and made me explore it on detail (that is why I played almost 8 hours, even when you can complete the game in 5).

As a summary, and little comparison, this game feels very similar to SOMA, but with some nordic mythology, a partial way to defend yourself, a more frequent feeling of danger that I really liked and some extra necessity to explore the world to find some audio recordings, for a better understading of the story, and some artifacts that boost your gear (oh, and some collectables, if you are into that).

I am really glad I bought and played this. A really nice improvement from their previous game (which isn't bad at all). I would give it 9.5/10.
