Pros:

-Graphics are upgraded quite nicely.
-Mechanics are improved and feel nice while also staying true to the retro game
-The audio is great
-The setting and story are great if you can push through

Cons:

-The game is stupid difficult on all levels. The enemies on normal will kill you easily as if you arent already struggling with limited ammo. They brought new faster zombies in. The puzzles are convoluted and widely dispersed. The amount of items you have to manage with such a small inventory is not fun and that could have been changed. Limited saving is stressful.
-Not being able to mod the game means no fixing issues like the constant door animation cutscenes that waste a lot of time.


All in all, the game is great, but the just sheer difficulty makes it feel like they didnt give any reasonable updates to the remake on purpose, maybe to sell physical guide books or something. I have had fun with the game, as frustrating as it is, but I would recommend emulating the original before playing this if I am completely honest.

Went into the first dungeon, was given zero direction on anything at all, saw no other players to ask for help, fought like 10 of the same exact goblin enemy, the movement was slow af, the combat was slow af, the combat was also janky af with weapon going through the enemy but relying on cursor location instead...

Terrible experience. Even if the game is good down the road, at least hook me on it a little bit. Wtf was that?

Very simple idea that is executed quite well... I just cant find players? Bot matches can only go so far.

Classic digital puzzle pachinko. Easy $1 pickup. Played so much on Xbox 360. Great game to pop in and out of.

It is unfortunate, because I think its likely one guy made this, and they likely put a lot of love into it, but the overwhelming reviews led me to believe I was going to play something on the level of WarioWare, Incredible Crisis, or Feel the Magic: XY/XX... but McPixel 3 does not come even remotely close to that caliber.

Probably a great buy if you are looking to entertain your child or something.

Genuinely one of the worst games I have ever played.

I cant think of another DLC expansion for any game that even holds a candle to what is going on here.

Focusing on exploration and trying different builds out, I have gotten about 15 hours of play so far and I feel I am probably 1/4th of the way through with only a few main bosses beaten. Anyone saying that the DLC isn't worth it are people I wouldn't be interested in knowing irl. The world is stunning, fresh, and fun to play in.

The common complaint is that it is too difficult. Firstly, why are you playing a notoriously difficult game? Secondly, I am lvl 180 on NG with my blessings on tier 5, basically an optimal and average character, and I have not faced anything so difficult it turned me off. People are rushing and don't want to actually work their character to a proper level/power for where they want to be. That's not a game issue.

The second main complaint is that the game runs poorly. I have not experienced this. I have experienced slight fps drops during intense graphical fidelity moments, but it isnt anything that doesnt occur in the main game. I think, again, people are trying to run their game at higher graphical settings than they care to admit their PC can handle. I wouldn't go as far as these people to say that the game is terribly optimized, it definitely runs just fine.

The DLC is literally more of the same, but even better in some moments, so naturally, as of now, I am sitting at a 9.5/10 rating. It is pretty much what I expected when I made the purchase.

Pros:

-Bunch of different IP's in one fighting game, cool


Cons:

-Generic combat
-No story mode
-No alternative modes, like bag toss for example from smash bros. There is a target mode copy that is not on demand.
-No trophies, stickers, no nothing
-Characters are heavily pay-walled out of freebie rotation, sometimes blocks progress, $20 or 15 hour grind each
-When you lose a match, pretty much like clockwork it is a crying or salt emote spam, so a low maturity level game.
-Events are tailored to those who have no job and will no life the game, rather than fairness based on skill
-PvE events are also tailored to those willing to just grind for hours, months on end. Literally
-The list of characters at the end of the day just isn't really THAT extensively impressive
-Unbalanced. Its obvious which characters and duos are better. See the same stuff. This limits freebie characters even more
since you'll likely only want to actually play a couple of them if not just one.


I could probably keep going but the games mid.

All in all, this is the best Fallout... Its really that simple.

I think people are just spoiled and ungrateful. Its clean, fun Borderlands game-play and I laugh consistently.
