The internet meme humor this game has is incredibly obnoxious.

Other than that, it's okay. Definitely one of those "turn-your-brain-off" type of games.

Honestly, the fact that Maniac Mansion isn't more popular despite it's major influence on gaming as a whole is a shame.

I feel like everyone should play this game at least once.

You know how some games feel like they represent a certain music genre without directly having that genre in its soundtrack?
Like, sometimes you'll be playing a game and you'll think to yourself, "Yeah, this game is punk," or "This game is hip-hop".

Thimbleweed Park is "mid-west emo".
The whole time I was playing this game, I was expecting American Football or Title Fight to just start blaring through my speakers.

It's pretty good. I've seen people compare it to the game "Papers, Please!", which is a game I haven't played, but I'll take their word for it.

Best part is definitely the soundtrack. It's mostly punk-rock, with a little bit of techno sprinkled in. Unfortunately, there isn't really a way to listen to a high-quality version of the soundtrack without listening to the tracks in-game, so that was a bummer.

Only problem I can see is that the art-style doesn't really match the tone, and not in a "this-game-looks-cute-but-is-secretly-scary!"-kinda way, but in a genuinely jarring kinda way. I didn't really mind it at all, but I can see it being a turn-off for some people.

All-in-all, good game. Would recommend.

Wow, where do I begin!

Our story follows a mean-spirited, sarcastic, social-outcast (voiced by a Hollywood actor), who's life is turned upside-down when he's tasked by a mysterious man (who, eventually, ends up betraying our hero) to retrieve a cursed object.

But fret not! Our protagonist is not alone, because he's joined by his annoying best friend and a fiery red-head, who's not what she seems... ;)

All coupled with a hip, alternative-rock soundtrack and clever writing, with quick-witted jokes comprised of dark humor, sexual innuendos, and hilarious pop-culture references! :D

All-in-all, Shrek was a pretty good movie. 10/10
