Very precise and easy guides to follow, thank you for documenting on how to 100% the souls games, just finished the first one, now moving on to the second. Really appreciate your effort and thank you once more😁

Hahahah. I am enjoying it alot but i keep dying to the first enemies being the skeletons lol

I am determined to 100% it though
Cynic 0055 9 Oct @ 3:59pm
LET's GO, GREG!!! You are my hero, that is so exciting to hear. My absolute favourite series ever with Dark Souls 1 being the best (in my opinion) but that could only be because it was my first introduction to "Souls" & I have crazy nostalgia for it.

Though it is very different in terms of gameplay, if you enjoyed Blasphemous, you will love Dark Souls.
Greg (real) 9 Oct @ 2:54pm
I just bought the Dark Souls trilogy. Dark Souls 1 will be my first ever actual Souls game so wish me luck 100% them all!:steamhappy:
Cynic 0055 1 Oct @ 4:18pm
Hey Blizzard, so yes you are entirely right; the Crystal Sage has only one Sorcery we need (Crystal Hail) for the 100%. The other Item you can get from the Crystal Sage is the Crystal Rapier. While it is not technically needed for the 100% per-say, the fact that it increases Item Discovery makes it extremely valuable for "Covenant Farming".

In NG, I recommend people to go for the Crystal Rapier first so you have the potential bonus Item Discovery the entire rest of the game. Then in NG+, since we have to kill the Crystal Sage again anyways, I mention to get his Sorcery then.

That was my rationale for structuring it that way. At the end of the day though, the Item you choose first doesn't really matter as whatever you get in NG, you just get the other in NG+ instead; especially since the longer you put off the farming, the more Souls you'll be getting each subsequent NG+. :bonfire2:

Hello Cynic! I've used your guides for (Currently) Metro Exodus and Dark Souls III, they've both been a really great help! Something to note about the Dark Souls III guide though, you mention in the New Game Plus section, under Road of Sacrifices, how you need the Soul of a Crystal Sage to "earn our final Sorcery", but I got the achievement before NG+ for getting all sorceries. Just curious about this part, once again thanks for making detailed achievement guides!!
Cynic 0055 30 Sep @ 12:17pm
Thanks axtri, I appreciate that! Achievement "list guides" have their purpose in being nice quick help for specific Achievements, but trying to use them as your 100% guide can be really challenging & typically lead you to doing multiple extra playthroughs for accidentally missing stuff. Basically puts all the work on YOU for making sure you are doing everything in the right order, which isn't an issue for a lot of games... but can be almost impossible for others without spending hours of pre-research.

That is actually the exact origin of how I started doing guides in the first place. I cobbled a skeleton of a walkthrough for myself for Metro Last Light starting with Collectibles, then the Moral Points, missable Achievements... then I put in all the Achievements. Made it look better... sort of... & then thought, what the heck, & published it on Steam. Had so much fun in the process, I've been doing it ever since. :ccknight:
axtri 29 Sep @ 11:40am
You're awesome dude! I like how all your guides are progressive and that's unique since most just list the achievements and how to get them in no particular order. +Rep. :praisesun:
Cynic 0055 25 Sep @ 6:59pm
Right there with you, Greg; I did play all DLCs for the first game & they were fantastic. Definitely wish they added Achievements for them so I could cover them in the guide.

Very excited to see they are adding Achievements for the second games DLC. They are adding the Mea Culpa as a 4th Weapon :cool_seagull: which is super exciting. I have done a playthrough of the base game already on an alt profile & am very much looking forward to new content. Unfortunately though, this will delay my guide since this proves there is new DLCs that are adding Achievements... which I am sure is disappointing to some, so I apologize for that.
Greg (real) 25 Sep @ 4:57pm
new blasphemous 2 dlc dropping soon along with alot of achievements, very excited, shame they didn't add achievements for dlc in the first game but ah well
Miladarmani 19 Sep @ 4:56pm
your guide best for any games thank you men :Fleur_de_Lys:

your guide let me do the first bioshock, and now im on bioshock 2! +rep for amazing guides, keep up the wonderful work!
Snorfsnout 25 Aug @ 8:08am
Hello! I just want to say I absolutely love your guides! I've never thought of myself to be an achievement hunter, but I've carried the urge for a while if that makes any sense. My first completion was actually Black Mesa and that game was phenomenal. But my god those carry achievements were nutty.
HeroicClorox 25 Aug @ 6:17am
You are the reason why I have my sanity for Bioshock Infinite. Thank you :praisesun:
childrencheese 24 Aug @ 8:49pm
Thank you very much, for your guide and your congratulations. The game is really good, when I was buying it expected to enjoy this masterpiece, but things got very unpleasant as soon as I acquired the Hat, and even worse with Pizza additionally. Can't recall my playthrough in good ways, but still I'm grateful for your advice to carry both items as far as possible, saved me a lot of time bringing the other item
Cynic 0055 24 Aug @ 12:33pm
Congrats on 100%ing Black Mesa, childrencheese! Amazing game but man, the Purple Hat & Pizza Box are crazy haha. It basically turns your playthrough into a completely different experience of the game... I can't even imagine just playing it "normally". Must be fun. :bms_crowbar:
childrencheese 24 Aug @ 11:44am
definitely +rep for such useful guides, thank you very mych good sir!
Cynic 0055 19 Aug @ 5:37pm
Hey 🌌 LetsPlayNintendoITA 🌀, I only do 100% Achievement guides not actual 100% completion guides (though I wish I could). Since the DLCs for Blasphemous are not required for any Achievements I unfortunately do not cover them in the guide; I definitely recommend checking them out though as they are really fun, especially Wounds of Eventide. :blaspiedad:
hey sorry to bother you i was checking the guide on Blasphemous but I saw that you didn't have stuff from the DLC added. Thought it was 100% of all stuff :/ i guess i'll implement the stuff from demajen's map to complete it ?
KJM 15 Aug @ 10:16pm
Probably the best guides out there. Helped me immensely with certain games and can't wait to use some more to get more 100%. Thank you for your guides! +rep

Hey dude! I just read you don't accept friend requests and that's fine! I just wanted to personally thank you for your service to the community. Your guides have saved me countless hours of grinding! When I play I have very little time to enjoy the game itself and you saved me hours of progress in matters of minutes. Thank you so much for your work and for giving everyone a chance of completing their games, no matter how hard they look. Kudos!
Cynic 0055 31 Jul @ 6:23pm
Hey Hatch, thank you! Yes, I am most definitely going to be doing an Elden Ring guide; originally it was going to be my winter project for this year but it has been post ponned. I will most likely be starting it early next year. :praisesun:
Hatch 31 Jul @ 6:20pm
Your dark souls guides are the best man! Are you intending on playing Elden Ring at some point?

you took me through Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 2 now its time for Dark Souls 3! Great guides thank you!
Division 8 Jul @ 2:17pm
Yes originally I was trying to make guides on other games that were on my list but I realise it is gonna be not my type so I scrap those projects. I would very much will be enjoying games soon like Lies of P (I recommend that game really) and other metroidvanias that are harder or easy but for now I need the online portion done for Max Payne 3 and I can call it done.
Cynic 0055 8 Jul @ 2:09pm
Thanks, Division. Once you get over that "honeymoon phase" of making guides, it does start feeling like work after a while. In your defence though, Division, you did try taking on some pretty demanding games to make guides for. Yakuza, Resident Evil, & especially Max Payne 3 definitely are not "quick & easy" 100%s & then to try to do a guide during the process makes a long game even longer. All very good games that would make for good guides, but I would classify them as "long guides" which are 80-160+ hours to make. Very easy to burn yourself out.

Which is why I try to have multiple games/guides on the go so I can bounce around & try to not let it get stale... but that comes with its on problems as you can go from one game/guide to... a lot on the go. I have four guides on the go just from this year, & probably another nine other guides in the back log that I started/got distracted/couldn't finish/& got shelved for later.
Division 8 Jul @ 1:57pm
I may not have the willpower to make more guides anymore but you still doing those guides I can appreciate the effort you had done Cynic keep it up. I am okay playing games without your guide but when you have a guide present per game I will no doubt use it, not like other people's guides are useless but yours is a top quality.
Cynic 0055 8 Jul @ 1:10pm
Yep, that is exactly what I do haha, & 100% why things take longer than I want. You could just sit there & leaf through all the True Achievements, Platinum Trophies, Gamesradar, or other Steam Guides & just cobble your own "copypasta" guide together. But you can always tell with those guides, & you may as well go to the original source.

My process definitely takes a while depending on the game, but the end result speaks for itself, if I may be so bold. The hardest part is just... time... there are sooooooooo many games I want to cover, & just no where near enough time or motivation to power through it all. My day job is finally picking up in terms of hours as well for the summer season, so I have even less gumption these last few weeks. One game at a time...
"Big Pussy" Bompensiero 8 Jul @ 1:02pm
I imagine you would have to 100% each game yourself in order to write an effective guide...probably takes a long time. Most games are difficult/annoying to earn all the achievements, so us scrubs appreciate these detailed guides. Thank you ser
Cynic 0055 8 Jul @ 12:59pm
Haha thank you, BP. I appreciate the shout out! Definitely no where near as regular with my releases as I would like, but I can say for certain, that I have some banger guides planned for the rest of the year after I clear the four I have on the go currently! :praisesun:
"Big Pussy" Bompensiero 5 Jul @ 11:11pm
Cynic is the top guide maker on Steam by a wide margin. He releases his high-quality guides regularly. They cover all different genres of games. Very helpful indeed. Thanks Cynic!
Cynic 0055 28 Jun @ 2:51pm
I actually want those Divinity guides done before I do Baldur's Gate 3 since, at least Achievement wise, they are very similar. I have not touched Baldur's Gate at all & I really want to give it a go (especially since no DLC expansion have been already confirmed). So chances are, those Divinity guides are going to be near-er future then I thought.
Cynic 0055 28 Jun @ 2:47pm
Hey linus.249, thank you! And eventually, I do plan to make guides for Divinity; I am currently in a Coop playthrough beating through Divinity 2 with one of my friends, but that is just for fun. Funnily enough though, we are taking a break from it because he & I are actually doing a Coop run through of DS3 ourselves at the moment!

But I would definitely love to make guides for Divinity since there is not really many (if any) good 100% guides out there for it. They would be extremely difficult games to do guides for though just with how many long-running Missable Achievements there are in them, not to mention Honor Mode. Lots & lots of research for me to do prior to starting.

Can't tell you when I might be working on them or when they would be released, but eventually, I absolutely will have guides for them. The combat is so freakin addicting in those games! :magicstarfish:

Hey Cynic, i am currently following your Dark Souls 3 guide and it's realy helpful getting all achievments. Thank you for that, i realy appreciate it! Are you planing on doing a gude for Divinity Original Sin 2 in the furure? Your guides are great!
