I'm a 40-year-old dad that likes to play games.

I first started in 1988 with an NES and all those great old Nintendo games.

I loved all the old Sierra computer games from the 80s and early-90s.

Got my Super Nintendo, game boy, Sega, even the Virtual Boy and of course the Nintendo 64.

Loved it when Baldur's Gate came out in the late-90s.

I got out of gaming in college but got back into it recently. I'm making up for lost time by playing all the great games that have come out in the past five or so years. :steamhappy:

Lovin' the Steam Holiday Sale. So far I've picked up a few I've had my eye on:

Red Dead Redemption II
Sekiro, Shadows Die Twice
Disco Elysium
Transport Fever
Wolfenstein II
Mortal Kombat 11

Now, the trick is not buying any more games until the Spring Sale in March/April:knifeTLD::propaganda:

So glad they have free weekends. Usually, it saves me money. I typically realize that games I thought I might like, well...I don't like 'em most of the time. :Y0GoldenPistol:

This time last year.

I find it interesting that I'm playing a lot of games that I was playing last Nov/Dec. Things like Xcom 2, Sniper Elite 4, World of Warships, and Two Point Hospital.

Even with this big Steam sale on right now, I'm more interested in playing the old and reliable than the new and unknown. I mean, let's face it - we all hate it when we get that game that we've had our eye on, and then an hour or two into it we realize it sucks.

I've got about 5 on my wishlist right now that I'm worried I won't like, and they're still expensive...around $40. Thinks like Greedfall, Sekiro, Disco Elysium and others.

We'll see how it turns out. :Geralt:
