In 'Horror Prison', you play as a private detective drawn into the heart of a nightmare disguised as a high-security prison, where you must uncover a sinister truth. The game features an atmospheric horror experience, immersing you in a chilling world of darkness and despair, with a labyrinthine prison to explore, horrifying discoveries to uncover, heart-pounding encounters to face, and gruesome puzzles to solve in order to unravel the mysteries behind the experiments.
Completing the game took me roughly 20 minutes, and it’s designed without any Steam achievements, keeping the focus purely on the experience itself. With only one ending and an automatic save feature after each chapter, players can easily resume or restart without worrying about manual saves. I would rate the difficulty around 1 out of 10 due to the straightforward gameplay and the absence of time limits, making it accessible and easy to complete for players of all skill levels.
'Horror Prison' tries to deliver a chilling psychological thriller but falls into familiar horror clichés without offering much originality. The premise of a detective investigating a gruesome prison experiment is intriguing, but the execution feels formulaic. Dark hallways, blood trails, and vague scientific horrors have been done countless times before.
The game promises gruesome puzzles and heart-pounding encounters, but without strong gameplay mechanics or a compelling story, these elements can quickly become frustrating or repetitive. The atmosphere relies too heavily on cheap jump scares rather than deep, immersive storytelling, making it feel like a missed opportunity.
Although I received the game for free, I believe there are better free horror games on Steam, making its current price higher than it should be. If you're considering purchasing it, I’d definitely recommend waiting for a sale.
In conclusion, I decided to recommend this game more as a gesture of encouragement for the developer. However, if you're thinking about buying it, please take into consideration all the aspects I've mentioned above.

'TRY AGAIN' is a fast-paced 2.5D platformer where you play as Benny, a video game character whose testing days seem to be over as he teeters on the brink of obsolescence. The unseen and mercurial Designer, racing to meet a deadline, dictates Benny’s fate within a bunker-like test facility. In this ever-changing environment, you must navigate challenging platforms, solve fast-paced puzzles, and adapt to the Designer’s unpredictable whims.
Though the game is brief, taking me only about 20 minutes to complete, it delivers a unique and intriguing experience. While this free game features only one ending and lacks a save function or Steam achievements, its clear instructions and straightforward objective, proving yourself as a successful lead game character, make it accessible to players of all skill levels. As a result, I would rate its difficulty a 2 out of 10.
"TRY AGAIN" is an exhilarating and thought-provoking platformer that seamlessly blends fast-paced action with a deeply engaging narrative. From the moment you step into Benny’s shoes, the game grips you with its dynamic and ever-shifting world and existential struggle.
The game’s 2.5D platforming is both challenging and rewarding, demanding precision, quick reflexes, and clever thinking. Each puzzle and platforming sequence is designed to keep you on your toes, encouraging you to bend the very rules meant to restrict you. The ever-present but unseen Designer reshapes the world around you, making every moment feel unpredictable and engaging.
More than just a solid platformer, "TRY AGAIN" is a meta narrative masterpiece. Benny’s journey is not just about survival. It is about defying fate and reclaiming control. The game’s thought-provoking themes and emotional weight create a deeper connection to Benny’s plight, making for a gripping experience.
In conclusion, 'TRY AGAIN' is an unforgettable experience and one of the best indie games I have played on Steam. Whether you are a fan of platformers or narrative-driven games, this is one game you do not want to miss. Benny’s fight for relevance will leave you questioning the very nature of video game storytelling and your role within it.

'Apartment Filled With Cats' is a heartwarming hidden object game that immerses players in the delightful quest to find all the hidden cats scattered throughout the apartment. With features like a hint/reset button, adjustable settings, multiple sound effects, 2 Steam achievements, and a total of 90 cats to uncover, this free game promises a fun and engaging experience.
Despite the large number of cats to find, the game is surprisingly short, taking only around 3 minutes to complete. However, this brevity makes it perfect for a quick gaming session, allowing players to unlock achievements without feeling overwhelmed. With only one ending and an automatic save feature after each cat is discovered, players can easily resume or restart without worrying about manual saves. I would rate the difficulty around 1 out of 10, as the gameplay is straightforward, and while some cats are better hidden than others, the absence of time limits makes the game accessible and easy to complete.

'Shifter' is a minimalist and atmospheric puzzle game where you must navigate a shifting square through intricate puzzle-box levels to find the exit. It features minimalist aesthetics, immersive sound design, unique puzzle mechanics (including teleporters, shifting walls, and spikes), 60 handcrafted levels spread across 6 colorful chapters (purple, light blue, dark blue, pink, green, and red), as well as 15 Steam achievements.
Though the game is brief, taking me only about 27 minutes to complete and unlock all the achievements, it still provides an interesting experience. With only one ending and an automatic save feature after each completed level, players can easily resume or restart without worrying about manual saves. I would rate the difficulty at around 3 out of 10 if you want to finish the game and earn 3 stars out of the 3 possible for each level. The gameplay is straightforward, and while some levels are harder than others, the absence of time limits makes it accessible and easy to complete.
"Shifter" is a well-designed, free puzzle game that offers a relaxing yet mentally engaging experience. The minimalist aesthetic keeps distractions to a minimum, allowing players to focus on the puzzles. With 60 handcrafted levels and a variety of mechanics, the game provides plenty of challenges to keep things interesting.
The core gameplay involves moving a square that only stops when it hits an obstacle. It feels intuitive and satisfying. Teleporters, shifting walls, and spikes introduce new challenges that add depth to the gameplay, requiring strategic thinking and experimentation. The difficulty curve is steady, though some levels may be more complicated than others, which can be either rewarding or frustrating depending on your patience.
The calming atmosphere, enhanced by a subtle soundtrack and the absence of timers, makes it a great choice for those who enjoy a relaxed approach to problem-solving. However, those seeking fast-paced action or complex storytelling may not find what they are looking for in this game.
Overall, 'Shifter' is a thoughtful and well-crafted puzzle game that delivers an enjoyable challenge in a minimalist package, making it a perfect choice for players interested in puzzle games.

'Velvet 89' is a hidden-object game that tells the story of ordinary people taking part in the peaceful demonstrations that changed the course of history. It features hidden-object gameplay with more than 40 stories set in 4 cities and 5 key protests of the Velvet Revolution, incorporating real memories developed with experts, authentic testimonies, stylized visuals blending handcrafted graphics with historical footage, 5 chapters, and 5 Steam achievements.
Though the game is brief, taking me only about 35 minutes to complete and unlock all the achievements, it still provides an interesting experience. With only one ending and an automatic save feature after each chapter, players can easily resume or restart without worrying about manual saves. I would rate the difficulty at around 1 out of 10. The gameplay is straightforward, and while some persons are well hidden, the absence of time limits makes it accessible and easy to complete.
'Velvet 89' is more than just a free hidden-object game. It is an immersive journey through one of the most defining moments in modern history. With a stunning paper cut-out art style and real archival footage, the game brings the Velvet Revolution to life in a way that is both visually captivating and deeply emotional.
Every person you find tells a story, shedding light on the fears, hopes, and resilience of those who stood against an oppressive regime. '100 Hidden Cups' is a hidden object game set in a surreal environment. While the black-and-white hand-drawn graphics are decent, they don’t quite match the quality of other games in the series. However, the accompanying soundtrack does a good job of enhancing the atmosphere and drawing players further into the surreal setting. The game challenges players to find 100 hidden cups, offering a rewarding experience for completionists with 100 Steam achievements.
The game is brief and only took me about 5 minutes to complete and unlock all the achievements. Its single ending and automatic save feature make it simple to pick up and play without worrying about saving progress. I would rate the difficulty at around 4 out of 10 because some cups do not look like cups at all. Without a hint system, you may find yourself resorting to random clicking to locate the last hidden cup.
The game is described as "a difficult adventure for the eyes," and it certainly lives up to that description. Compared to other games in this series, however, this one does not live up to expectations. If you have never played a "100 Hidden" game before, I would not recommend starting with this one, as it may be very frustrating.
I purchased this game during a sale for 0.49€, which initially seemed like a fair price. However, after playing it, I found the experience disappointing even at the discounted rate. Given the game’s short length, lack of polish, and simplistic art style, the regular price feels completely unjustified. If you are still intrigued, I strongly recommend waiting for a deep discount before buying it.
Overall, '100 Hidden Cups' is a decent game to play during a short break, but it is definitely not the best in the series. There are several hidden object games on Steam that are not only better than this one but also free to play.
If you’re struggling to find that last cup or simply want to watch a playthrough, feel free to check out my full game playthrough video here:

'The one who pulls out the sword will be crowned king' is a short experimental game about pulling a sword from a stone to be crowned king, inspired by the Arthurian legend. It features a brief story, a sword that tests your patience, a soundtrack, a leaderboard, a beautiful ending, 2 versions (online and offline), and 2 Steam achievements.
Though the game is brief and took me only about 20 minutes to complete both versions and unlock all the achievements, it still provides a satisfying experience. While the game has only one ending and lacks a save feature, its straightforward instructions make it accessible to players of all skill levels. The difficulty level depends on your gaming skills and patience, but I would rate it around 4/10.
'The one who pulls out the sword will be crowned king' is a delightful and innovative game that turns a simple idea into a surprisingly engaging experience. Inspired by the Arthurian legend, it challenges players to pull a sword from a stone with a unique twist: every time someone succeeds globally, the sword becomes longer and heavier, making it harder for everyone else.
The gameplay is easy to grasp, as players use their mouse to grip and pull the sword. This straightforward mechanic makes the game accessible to all, but the increasing difficulty adds a layer of intrigue and competition. Knowing that other players around the world are influencing the challenge creates a sense of connection and rivalry that keeps you engaged.
Finally freeing the sword after numerous attempts feels incredibly rewarding. The achievement you earn serves as proof of your persistence and skill, making it all the more satisfying. The humor and lighthearted tone of the game enhance the experience, even during moments of frustration.
In conclusion, 'The one who pulls out the sword will be crowned king' is a perfect choice for players who enjoy unique and experimental games that test patience and determination. 🗡️

'100 Hidden Hares' is a hidden object game set in a winter landscape. The black and white hand drawn graphics are beautifully detailed, creating a unique and engaging visual style. The accompanying soundtrack enhances the atmosphere, drawing players into the whimsical world of hidden hares. The game challenges players to find 100 cleverly hidden hares, offering a rewarding experience for completionists with 100 Steam achievements, while the three in-game card drops (part of the trading card badge system) provide additional rewards for collectors.
Though the game is brief and only took me about 5 minutes to complete and unlock all the achievements, it still provides a satisfying and stress free experience. Its single ending and automatic save feature make it simple to pick up and play without worrying about saving progress. I would rate the difficulty at around 2 out of 10, as while some hares are well hidden and there are a few interactive items to discover, the absence of a time limit ensures an accessible and relaxed pace for all players.
Special credit goes to Аlexandr Telminov for the enchanting artwork. The hand drawn cartoon style is both whimsical and charming, making the search for the hidden hares a delightful journey. Thoughtful additions like night mode and the ability to reset achievements add convenience to the overall gameplay.
I purchased this game during the Christmas sale for 0.59€, which felt like great value for the experience. However, given the game’s short length, the regular price might feel a bit high to some players. If you're intrigued, I would suggest waiting for a discount to make it even more worthwhile.
Overall, '100 Hidden Hares' is an enchanting hidden object game perfect for lovers of hidden objects and hares. 🐇 Its winter setting and whimsical design make it a charming way to spend a little downtime.

'Bleeding Roots' is a free fifteen-minute horror game about a man taking care of his plants throughout the seasons. It features a short story about a man tending to his plants, four seasons, and well-adapted sound design that intensifies the atmosphere.
Completing the game and unlocking all achievements took me around 15 minutes, making it feasible to finish everything in a single sitting. While the game only has one ending and lacks a save feature, the straightforward instructions and easy-to-achieve objective (watering all the plants and performing a small blood sacrifice) make it accessible to players of all skill levels. As a result, I gave it a low difficulty rating of 1/10.
'Bleeding Roots' is a brief yet evocative horror walking simulator that combines themes of grief, obsession, and personal growth with an eerie gardening experience. The game’s premise centers around a character who, while navigating personal hardships, turns to gardening as a source of solace. This simple yet poignant setup sets the stage for a story that delves into the emotional and psychological complexities of coping with loss.
The controls are straightforward but somewhat clunky. While this minimalist design may appeal to fans of retro-style gameplay, the stiffness of the controls can detract from the experience, especially for players accustomed to smoother mechanics. Despite this, the seasonal progression adds a layer of atmosphere, allowing players to witness the garden evolve alongside the unfolding narrative.
The story’s foundation is intriguing, particularly the discovery of a mysterious book that introduces unsettling methods of plant care. This narrative choice effectively blends the mundane with the macabre, creating a compelling juxtaposition. The game’s exploration of mature themes such as loss and self-harm is handled with a somber tone, though some may find these elements distressing.
'Bleeding Roots' excels in creating an immersive environment. The seasonal changes and the gradual transformation of the garden offer a sense of progression that mirrors the protagonist’s inner journey. The sound design and visual style contribute to an ambiance that is both melancholic and unsettling, enhancing the horror elements without relying on overt jump scares or gore.
It’s important to note the inclusion of sensitive themes such as suicide and mild self-harm, which may not be suitable for all players. These elements are integral to the story, but prospective players should consider their comfort level with such content before diving in.
Overall, 'Bleeding Roots' is a thoughtful, atmospheric experience that combines minimalist gameplay with a haunting narrative. While the clunky controls and mature themes may not appeal to everyone, it offers a unique take on the horror genre that lingers long after the final season. Ideal for players seeking a brief but impactful exploration of grief and obsession, it’s a game that rewards patience and introspection.

'BREAKER: INITIATING' is a post-apocalyptic 3D platformer combining puzzles with intense action. It features a short story where the main hero is a robot, a desolate post-apocalyptic world, and well-adapted sound design that intensifies the atmosphere.
Completing the game took me roughly 7 minutes. It features no Steam achievements, keeping the focus purely on the experience itself. With only one ending and an automatic save feature, players can easily resume or restart without worrying about manual saves. I'd rate the difficulty a modest 1 out of 10, thanks to its short tutorial, straightforward gameplay, and clear instructions—your main goal is to help the robot evade other robots and explore the outside world.
'BREAKER: INITIATING' offers an intriguing mix of platforming and puzzle-solving elements set in a post-apocalyptic world. You take on the role of El, a robot with electrical discharge abilities, navigating an environment shaped by the remnants of human civilization and the rise of a mechanical ecosystem.
The game’s strongest points lie in its atmosphere. The desolate, mysterious world is visually striking, and the soundtrack complements the setting well, creating a sense of isolation and curiosity. The puzzles are well-designed, encouraging creative use of El’s unique powers, though they may feel straightforward for players seeking more complexity.
The narrative, while minimalist, is compelling enough to drive the exploration, though it leaves much to interpretation. For some, this open-ended storytelling will be a strength; for others, it might feel underdeveloped.
Overall, with a short runtime, 'BREAKER: INITIATING' is a concise experience that doesn’t overstay its welcome but may leave players wishing for more depth or content. It’s a solid choice for those who appreciate atmospheric indie games with unique mechanics, though it might not appeal to those looking for a longer or more narratively rich adventure.
