I absolutely love games like this. This game was really really sweet, and it's one of the games I'll recommend to people when I'm really trying to share good stuff with them. This game will always have a very special place in my heart both for story and the lovely art.

This game has a lot of really good nostalgia for me. I kept up with it through youtubers right before the fifth chapter released then circumstances had me not looking into the end of the game. I finally was able to get it for myself and play through it on my own and I still love this game. This sort of art style and aesthetic isn't normally for me, but there's something about this game that's so charming and endearing. I really love the storyline of this game, I do think the fifth chapter goes a little off the rails but I can see what the devs were trying to do with it and I can't blame them at all: I can instead just happily take it all in and relish in finally finishing this game.

I really like this game! Gameplay wise, I like it more than 8, although I think 8 gets me a little bit more with the more emotional storyline. This game was pretty scary and by far the scariest modern RE game, I ended up having a lot of fun with it. A major critique for the game is lack of variety in enemies, but I think it can be overlooked even if they do get old after a while. The free DLC for this game is one of my favorites ever, and then the actual paid DLCs are great too. I'm an unapologetic Mia and RE7 Chris fan.

I love this games art and gameplay. Really unique and so fun, I really love confined games and the added scare factor of not being able to see outside of your sub is so good. I would actually kill to get more of this game but also I don't want whatever carefully crafted magic it already has to get ruined by potentially tacking on more lore. You wouldn't believe how hard I took inspo from this for some of my game art classes and portfolio pieces.

IIII LOOOOVE THIS GAAAME. I didn't expect it to be this good upon hearing people talk about it, my expectations were really low. My friend got it for me (and then Filbo kin assigned me) and I think it's one of my favorite games that anyone has ever gifted me. Super fun, amazing art, and really neat if not slightly horrifying story when you get down to it. All of the characters are absolutely fantastic and endearing in their own right.

I LOVE this game. It's up there with my favorites. I know it's notorious for how janky it was, even on its release, but this game is so good. It's really smart with it's mechanics and emulates the aesthetic its going for incredibly well. For some reason something I always loved about this game was the combat, I love that it forced you to time your attacks so you weren't just spamming buttons. You had to be patient to properly attack.

I really enjoyed this game. I don't know if it has enough content in it to justify the price, this game was EXTREMELY short. Rose's DLC adds a lot to it and I absolutely loved it but that's an extra charge for more gameplay. The environment in this game is downright beautiful, there's still some scares (although I don't think we'll ever get as scary as RE7 was), and a really neat storyline if that sort of unconditional familial love is something that tugs at your heartstrings. I was very compelled by Ethan's love for his daughter and I don't know if a father daughter relationship will ever rock me as hard as theirs did.

I really enjoy this game and my only guess for the bad rep it gets is because it's just different from other RE games. Which is a completely valid critique, but it doesn't make this game itself a bad game. RE6 is really neat for introducing a more controllable melee mechanic, stamina to go with it, and just a ton of cool stuff for the player to do. Keyboard controls don't feel too great when you sprint around because the camera freaks out with it, but aside from that once you hit the flow with the controls you're all set. There's slightly more analysis on characters and how their past may be affecting them, or how they may be spiraling downwards because of outside forces which is an interesting take and a slight change from what we normally get from RE protags. Leon's campaign is the overarching campaign that fits basically the whole story and the others fill in the gaps. Go into the game thinking that way, not that you're getting four entirely separate stories. I love Helena Harper.
