OH MY GOOOSSSHH!!! Where and how to even begin this review!?! This game is absolutely amazing!! I am a HUGE fan the final fantasy games and this one caught my attention because it gave me instant Final Fantasy type vibes from the trailer I had watched. I happened to purchase this game on a Black Friday sale and I could not be happier that I had!! Let me start by saying that the atmosphere, cinema photography, the music made it all so easy to get lost within the world! The story line was amazing and literally had me wanting more. I found myself fighting and struggling within...Do I hurry through the mission story line or do I complete some side quests along the way? Ultimately I ended up doing some side quests along the way but I found myself longing to know more of Aloy's story. I found myself becoming so invested in some of the characters that I literally would become a bit emotional with watching some of the scenes. Yes, I am a bit of an emotional ball of nutty feelings most the time, but it's not very often I find myself emotionally invested in characters in video games and this is one game that was able to achieve that for me! So big Kudo points for that!

Again I cannot say how beautiful the layout of the game truly is! Mechanical animals roam rampant in this vast open world game which after a certain point in the game you learn how to override them and are able to use a mechanical beast to aid you in part of your journey. My favorite was the option of riding a mount (a mechanical horse, bull, or ram). I often just found myself riding from point A to point B because of the enjoyment, plus there's always the perk of being able to grab more items along the way.

This game is easy enough to finish without having to purchase the frozen wild however the frozen wild seems like it may contribute more to the story of one of the tribes that Aloy meets along the way. I haven't completed the Frozen Wild yet at the time of writing this review. In fact I'm just getting ready to start it. Make sure once you have completed the game though that you watch a scene they have added at the end of the game after the credits. It sets up for the sequel that is coming later this year. Oh goodness I don't think I've been this excited for a game release in a loooong time!!! Horizon Zero Dawn is an amazing game and even with over 88 hours invested into it I still have plenty left to do to complete it 100% but I don't mind. I have loved every minute of it, and don't dread investing anymore time in the game either. I guess it gives me plenty to do while I wait for the sequel to be released!
