I am a Subaroon, originating from the Black Swamp in the Everglades province of Temriel, reptile race whose dense forests, swamped inland rivers and mangroves make it nearly impossible for races other than Subaroon to reach the depths of the Black Swamp. Yes. It wasn't safe, but it was our home, and there were plenty of fish and bushes to feed us. Also, non-Subaroon explorers often die from the Black Swamp's native animals and diseases. Because of this, only the local subdragon can travel through it without worry. We have little contact with the Empire and other non-Black Swamp races, unless there is trade, or business in other provincial cities, in which case...
