Story Based Achievements
The following are the "Hidden" story/boss achievements. These can't be missed! Some bosses are fairly simple...others just annoying.

Lights Out!
Defeat the Night Watchman

Night Watchman is the first boss you encounter as Simon. Easy to deal with, most of his attacks can be dodged with your roll. One move however is annoying. When the room goes dark, he'll send his staff floating around the room. Just time it correctly and roll under the staff. He will do this move a total of three times in later half of fight, each time the staff moving faster. So be careful!

Dust to dust
Defeat the Necromancer

Necormancer dude will be the second boss you encounter as Simon. Boss will be flying for whole duration of fight. I found it easier to just stay beneath him and use your area attacks to deal damage. Just don't get to far away, otherwise he'll send his scythe flying towards ya.

Once enough damage has been dealt, boss dude will go in middle of area and surround himself with two green sheilds. Sheilds will have openings, wait for them to line up and simply roll in. When boss dude is almost dead, he'll move back to center of area and have three sheilds this time. Sheilds will be a little faster from before!

Not my type
Defeat the Succubus

This lovely succubus is the final and third boss you encounter as Simon. When you kill her, Simons act will end. Be sure to have collected all remaining (if any)chests/scrolls/cards beforehand to achieve Simon's Quest!

Now this boss flys around just like before. So again, stand underneath her and use your area attacks. Dodging her fireballs from time to time. She'll put up a sheild around her sometimes, simply attack it and it will start to flash white. Grabbing it will casue sheild to shatter. When enough health is gone, she'll fly back and grab a concubine to recover her health. Move close and grab the concubine. QTE will pop up when you do, be ready! Trys this twice during fight.

Near the end, through some unkown sexytime power thing (idk really lol)...clones of herself will appear with sheilds. Have to find the right one and attack it. You'll know when the sheild glows red. Grab the sheild once it glows white and bring sexy back!

Curiosity killed the cat
Defeat the Reaver

Ok, Reaver dude here is the first boss you encounter as Alucard. Kinda tough dude for first time. Ground level boss. Don't try and do alot of combos against him, keep it small to allow you time to dodge. If you need to get around him, use Alucards mist form and pass through him. Jumping over him doesn't work!

System Shock
Defeat the Daemon Lord

Daemon Lord will be the second boss you encounter as Alucard. He's the dude we lost too at beginning of Act 2(Punk). Keep combos small like we did with Reaver. Also using the hourglass will be useful, allowing us to slow down time for more hits. When he uses his tail shockwave attack, it can be blocked. Can't use your mist form during this time, so jump onto magnetic railing to get around him.

When enough damage is done, he'll jump to back of room and shoot lasers. Dodge them and destroy either machine. ( left or right doesn't matter ) Continue fight and he'll do same move, destroy last machine. Now both machines are destroyed...he's hella mad, so he'll grab ya. QTE will pop up, be ready!

Near the end, he's sending out shockwave after shockwave. Use our mist form now to get to his other side!

This is not how a vampire dies
Defeat Dracula

Dear old Dracula will be the final boss you encounter as Alucard. When you defeat him, Alucards act will end. Be sure to have collected all remaining (if any) scrolls/chests/cards beforehand to achieve Alucard's Redemption!

Now Simon will be helping you fight Dracula, so try and position Simon between you and him like a sheild / punching bag..lol. During the end of fight Simon will be possessed and Dracula will sit on his throne while making Simon fight us. You need to block his whip attacks, and dodge his holy water / axe attacks. Grabbing him when prompted. Do this three times and then you can continue the fight with Dracula!

Insecticidal
Defeat the Lady of the Crypt

Lady of the Crypt will be the second boss you encounter as Trevor. ( I didn't skip the first boss for Trevor, you'll see in Defeat the Executioner description. )

Easy boss, total child's play no matter what difficulty. Start of the fight, she'll start swipping so block and counter attack. Has a unblockable attack, just jump over her. At the end of fight, will be prompted to grab her. A short sequence of QTEs will pop up. Finish them to end her!

The bigger they are...
Defeat the Executioner... twice!

Now the Executioner is both the first and third boss you encounter as Trevor. Hits hella hard, try not to get hit often. First time fighting him, trick is to keep enough distance from you n' him to avoid his close range attacks. Has a grab attack which requires a QTE to escape. When charging at you, double jump over him. Lastly, a belly flop attack. Just roll under him or back dash away.

Second encounter is just like the first. When you fight and defeat him for second time, you'll get this achievement!

Sealed Fate
Be defeated by Dracula

This time around, you'll encounter Dracula with Trevor. Final boss fight for the game. When you kill him, both Trevor's act and the game will end. Be sure to have collected all remaining ( if any ) scrolls/ chests/ cards to achieve Trevor's Destiny!

Now Dracula will use his shadow and light magic attacks, changing between the two. You're supposed to counter with the opposite magic of what he's using ( Like Dracula uses Light magic, you use Shadow. Vice Versa ) to dish out most damage possible. BUT, I suggest using the same magic attacks Dracula is. That way he'll hit you for less ( you'll be hitting him with little damage ) but able to survive. When he's knock out, quickly switch over to the opposite magic and go to town. Switch back over to same magic again after he wakes up. You'll have a unlimited supply of magic so all's good.

He has one attack later on in fight, where he shoots out an shockwave blast everywhere. Only way to avoid it, is to use the SAME magic Dracula used to make the shockwave. Dracula uses 3 hit to 4 hit combos while attacking.

A cut scene will pop up when you're close to the end. Little extra fight left over near the end. Goodluck!

Here's a video made by youtuber RustoGaming showing both puzzles. Puppeteer starts at beginning. Light Guide starts at 3:00.

For Puppeteer :
Warning:Do not examine the red glowing corpse on right side of screen. Doing so will
void the achievement and you will have to try on another playthrough

Alucard will come across this puzzle in a room with a huge puppet in the background, four blocks and different platforms. Goal is to move the blocks so that the upper puppets hand is destroyed.
  1. Start by pushing the Weight block from the right side to the left, and leave it next to the Flame block so that is in place for the left claw to grab it.
  2. Pull the switch. This moves the Weight block to the middle platform.
  3. Move the Fire block to the right side, and stop under the hand. This will burn the puppet hand, releasing the Wind block.
  4. Move the Fire block to the left, so that it can be grabbed by the right claw.
  5. Pull the switch three times. This moves the Fire block to the top, and Weight block to the bottom.
  6. Move the Weight block to the left, so that the claw cannot move it.
  7. Move the Wind block all the way to the left side of the screen.
  8. Jump into the wind, grab the ledge on the top-left, and then jump to the platform with the Magnet block.
  9. Move the Magnet block into position for the left claw to grab it.
  10. Pull the switch four times, so that the Magnet block is on the bottom level. (This will also move the Fire block to the bottom, and back up.)
  11. Pull the Magnet block to the right, just under the pressure plate on the middle platform.
  12. Move the Weight block into position for the claw to grab it.
  13. Pull the switch, and the Weight block moves up the middle platform.
  14. Move the Magnet block, and use it to grab and move the Weight block onto the pressure plate. This opens the hatch under the glass tubes in the center of the room.
  15. Pull the switch until the Fire block is back on the top platform.
  16. Move the Wind block to the center of the screen, just under the glass tubes. This forces air through the tubes, and pushes the Fire block under the upper puppet hand, burning it, and completing the puzzle.

For Light Guide :
Warning:Do not examine the red glowing corpse on left side of screen. Doing so will
void the achievement and you will have to try on another playthrough.

Alucard will come across this puzzle in a room with many orbs, switches, and a light beam. Goal is to move the five orbs so that the beam hits the spinning carousel at the top center. Luckly the beam doesn't hurt Alucard.
  1. Pull the left switch.
  2. Pull the right switch.
  3. Move the middle right orb all the way to the right.
  4. Move the bottom orb, so that it the beam hits the orb just below and to the left of the right switch.
  5. Move the middle left orb so that the beam hits the orb that is second down on the left side.
  6. Move the top left orb so that the beam hits the first orb at the top of the screen. This completes the puzzle.
Boss Rush Mode
Boss Rush Mode will be unlocked after you completed the game once. The mode will be in the Main Menu. Also it has four difficulties to choose from. During this mode, you'll only have one life, and no health refills. All health / magic / ammo upgrades you found in the main story will carry over to Boss Rush. You'll need to fight all 10 bosses of Mirrors Fate in Boss Rush to get these achievements:

The fearsome barbarian
Finish the Boss Rush mode on Easy

The fearless vampire
Finish the Boss Rush mode on Normal

The best warrior in the Order
Finish the Boss Rush mode on Hard

The great pirate king
Finish the Boss Rush mode on Hardcore

All ten Bosses are as follows: Night Watchman, Necromancer, Succubus, Reaver, Daemon Lord, Dracula, Executioner, Lady of the Crypt, Executioner 2, and Dracula 2.

Completing Boss Rush on Hardcore will unlock all the other Boss Rush achievements. Kill two birds with one stone type deal eh?! Although, if you keep dying on Hardcore; try the mode out on a lower difficulty to practice.

Here's a video showing how to defeat Boss Rush on Hardcore. Made by Youtuber MiKeYROG. No commentry, but will beable to see how he defeated Hardcore.
Link if video doesn't work

Tips:
  • Best to learn the bosses attack patterns, so you can make it to the end with as little damage as possible.
  • Items, should fully charge them up for more power / duration.
  • Try to defeat the first three bosses as Simon without getting damaged. Use the protection spell to prevent damage, as you'll get some magic replenishment while fighting the bosses.
  • As Simon, don't use any items; they don't do enough damage, and you'll want to save the ammo for Alucard.
  • As Alucard's, use mist form to steal health from bosses
  • Also use Alucard's hourglass on the Reaver and Daemon Lord.
  • As Trevor, his four bosses are straightforward, can use Light Magic to heal yourself if needed. You'll have infinite magic when fighting Dracula, and you'll constantly be getting health back, with both magics.
  • When using Trevor's items on the second Executioner, attack from a distance while avoiding the fire bombs.
  • You can fail the Daemon Lord's electricity QTE, and Dracula's fireball QTE without penalty. The QTE will simply restart.
Other
Last but not least, these 5 remaining achievements are as follows:

Combat master
Obtain all skills (reach the MAX level)

Most likely to get this on your second playthrough. First playthrough, if you went for 100% of all items in all 3 acts. You get a new skill each time you level up. 18 levels in total. Easy achievement.

Beast hunter
Kill 1000 enemies from the Cursed Village onwards

On your first playthrough, provided you're going for 100% completion. You'll get anywhere from 500 to 700 kills. You can see your total amount of enemies killed by choosing the Leaderboards option from the Main Menu or Pause Menu. Use Chapter replay to rank up additional kills or simply play a second playthrough. One way to rank up some kills, is to replay the Prologue on any difficulty over and over again. You'll get about 20 or so kills each time. Repeat that and you can get your 1,000 kills!

Quick as lightning
Finish the game under 3 h. 30 min.

This achievement is best done on Easy. Or for the boldest, you're second playthrough with Hardcore. Try to complete each chapter within an hour, and be sure to skip cut-scenes using defualt inputs; Start ( Controller ) | Escape ( Mouse&Keyboard ) twice. Be warned that pausing the game seems to keep the timer going, and dying and repeating sections also adds time to your total. Your total time can be seen when you select your save file at the start of the game. If you find yourself having to redo sections multiple times, it is best to quit to the main menu and continue from there.

Since you don't want to waste time fiddling with puzzles on a speed run, try to remember their solutions, or keep them handy. Alucard's solutions can be found under the Puppeteer and Light Guide sections. Trevor's are as follows:

Vertical Prison:
  • Use Shadow Magic on the third symbol
  • Use Light Magic on the second symbol
  • Use Shadow Magic on the first symbol
  • Use Light Magic on the fourth symbol

Clock Tower (Speed Boots):
  • Use Shadow Magic on the first symbol
  • Use Light Magic on the second symbol

I'm a Belmont!
Finish the game on Hard without lowering the difficutly nor enabling the navigation aids from the map

Go look at the " I'm Dracula! " achievement.

I'm Dracula!
Finish the game on Hardocre without lowering the difficulty nor enabling the navigation aids from the map.

Warning
- Obviously, do not turn on the navigation aids or change difficulty from the menus. Doing so will void this achievement. Duh.

Now Hardcore difficulty is unlocked once you completed the game once. Simply make a new playthrough ontop of your saved file. All progress from previous game will carry over. Yay! Can continue looking for scrolls / chests / cards if haven't 100% them. Same for levels too. Obtaining this achievement will also unlock " I'm a Belmont! " achievement.

Differences with Hardcore:
  • Enemies hit much harder. Avoid as many fights as possible, and only fight when the game forces you to.
  • No mid-map checkpoints, so if you die, you'll resume back at the beginning of the map. The game creates a new checkpoint every time you enter a new map, so you can create checkpoints to save progress.
  • In-game navigation is turned off by default. No red arrows pointing your way. Objective however will still appear on the map.

I recommended you reach 100% for scrolls / chests / cards in your first playthrough. This way, you can focus on completing the game as quickly as possible, and without having to look for collectibles. Applies to both Hard and Hardcore mode.

I noticed for the "Beast Hunter" achievement states that the kills have to be "from the Cursed Village onwards," yet it is still possible to farm the Prologue for kills, so long as the game as been saved outside of it during the same session.

I noticed this problem after booting up the game to immediately rack up kills in the Prologue, but didn't see progress until I saved between areas in Act I.

Thank you for writing this it helped me out a lot

The boss rush took me the longest to finish, I am way too impatient with these sorts of things and end up making mistakes.

One tip I could give to anybody still going for this is to not underestimate the healing in mist form. It heals the same no matter how much magic you use. You can min max it by using it every time you kill a mob in the Reaver fight and also on the final part of the Daemon lord fight (It doesn't hurt you after destroying the orbs)

In Trevors chapter, how do I get the health increase on the left in the Cells room? Its above water and there seems to be a door above that I can't reach. It's the last question mark in the game for me.
