@mega nab. They're not 100% ineffective. There's many techniques you can master with a longsword alone to make it effective against armor.

Half Swording and Mordhau just to name a pair.

what's wrong with this image is swords were a secondary weapon for a reason, they are 100 percent ineffective against armor
