Well it's working, both have been getting better and better.

That's how I've been learning both of those as well! (See my artwork if you're curious.)

Splicing together existing videos, sounds and music is fun and easy, just need the desire to do it. That's how I learnt Photoshop, just do some small projects (see my guides, screenshots and artworks) and slowly but surely the knowledge sets in. That's now my goal for video editing. Doing these silly 1 minute long videos is a good training exercise.
