Thanks, interesting idea, it was exciting to read ... but "legal or ownership snag" is all too common nowadays ... honestly, when I read such words I read it as "it will never happen". One of my favorite classic RTS games is Dark Colony and it will never come to Steam because of the same reasons.

Can't buy that game anywhere anymore. I'm sure there's some kind of legal or ownership snag keeping it from being around anymore. It was also a failure the first time around because the management game was pretty basic -- just an excuse for making the amazing fun machinima tools and content -- and all that creative stuff only appeals to a niche market.

Imagine, though, if it did show up on Steam complete with Workshop support and a hook to publish films directly to the media forum. It could probably make back all the money lost the first time around just from the Steam players who never knew it existed before.
