The Repair Bench - what can and can't be fixed
By Basil_oz
Have you ever wondered what you should be keeping to be fixed at the Repair Bench? Well this is the guide for you! There are a couple of good guides listing what can be repaired, but nothing listing what can't be fixed which is equally as useful. This manual will provide 2 lists: parts that can be fixed and parts that can't be fixed.

General info about the repair bench
This guide will provide 2 lists: the first being vehicle parts that can be repaired and the second being vehicle parts that cannot be repaired.

As a general note, access to the repair bench is opened through leveling and using your upgrades. The repair bench is available to be unlocked at level 4 with the first garage expansion, but repairing parts doesn't seem to become active until you unlock Recycling lvl 1 (at level 5) which allows you to repair parts with a success rate of 55%. Maxing the Recycling trait to lvl 6 (at level 35) will allow you to repair both vehicle parts and body parts with a success rate of 95%.

Any part (whether auto or body) cannot be repaired if it is below 15% condition (so don't even bother touching them at the junk yard or barns).

Also, when repairing a part that is at 50% condition or above, you get a 4% increase in your success rate. So, if you are either lvl 5 or 6 in the Recycling trait, you will have a 95% success rate when repairing a part which is below 50% condition, but will jump to a 99% success rate once that part's condition exceeds 50%.

There are a couple of exceptions to these lists (such as headlights and taillights of game included stock cars not being repairable whilst modded cars are) but generally the lists are consistent.

Particularly with modded cars, you may find that there are sections which aren't glass but use the glass sections of the car. These parts will not be repairable if they use the glass sections of the vehicles.

Special thanks to ReXxX for taking on the role of honorary editor for me. A number of corrections and additions have been made to the lists because of ReXxX's assistance which I really appreciate.

Remember, if these lists have been helpful at all for you, don't forget to rate this guide with a thumbs up. It helps in allowing others to come across this guide and benefit from it too.

Thank you so much!
Is there any logic to what can't be fixed that I can apply without looking up this list? or is it done in a way to keep the game balanced do you think?

Thanks. Update to your hearts content; I'm glad it helped!

I've got to get back into the game again and update this list as well as add the extra things that ReXxX has found.

Nice one, Basil. I'll use this to update the self-produced worksheets I use when shopping for big complex orders if you don't mind. (An example can be found in my own guide For Absolute Beginners)

And thanks ReXxX for the heads-up on the Tempesta windows. Got a barn resto pending so this is good to know
