Thank you to Dark Inquisitor, who provided inspiration for this mod. There is some overlap with about a dozen songs from their mod: Verge of Galaxy. I used some of the songs that I felt fit the theme I was trying achieve here.

Okay I don't get it anymore, It likely was me putting the mod in with wrong load order.

Windows, I had a mod called "No vannila music" so it would only play these songs I believe, I switched to beholder music with that mod and it works fine. If I don't forget I'll try again today and post error (my hugslib log might be massive and hard to understand where this mod gives errors as not all the mods I have are 100% working)

Are you playing on Windows? Also, is this the only music mod you have running? This is a very basic mod. It doesn't change any of the game's behaviour, it only adds new SongDefs to the existing library. In the 5 years since I published this mod, I haven't heard of this issue before. This mod only works if downloaded from the steam workshop.
If you downloaded the github version from the license page, it will not work (no music files are in the repository, only XML)

I am encountering an issue where it fails to play the music (Error message) and startup log is full of Warnings.

The RAM issue exists with all UNIX systems (Linux and Mac). The best way to get around this is to use proton compatibility layer and run the windows version. RimWorld, in general, works better with the Windows version through proton instead of native Linux and Mac.

Great choice of songs. Really adds variety to the soundtrack without going too far off the rails.

@Generator's Queen, same, this mod consumes all available RAM (on Ubuntu 22.04 & 20.04).

LOL, this simple music mod takes up 7GB RAM on MacOS (m-series). Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm afraid I'll have to listen to the standard RimWorld soundtrack for the rest of my life :(

Thanks for the update!
