Playable Carrion [AB+/Rep]

Isaac was playing with his laboratory set in his room, but his new experiment went a little south... Based on the game Carrion, the reverse-horror game, play as Carrion himself and slaughter all who happen to be in the basement!

This mod was mostly an experiment of mine, so be cautious, it's not very balanced. The mod is mostly meant to have fun and play around, but also don't underestimate it; It's still very easy to get hit and it can be very difficult at times depending on which enemy you're up against.


Bombs, cards/pills and dropping pocket items buttons can still be used normally when you're not aiming with your controlable tentacle.

Grabbing
- To move your controlable tentacle around:
Keyboard: move your mouse
Controller: right joystick
- To grab:
Keyboard: hold left mouse button or hold left-ctrl
Controller: hold RT

Keyboard: hold right mouse button or hold Q
Controller: hold RB

In boss rooms a player's corpse can be found. By grabbing it and pulling it towards you you can take it over. Any items you picked up apply to that player and Carrion will be inactive (won't take damage) until you touch him again. This is mostly a way to ensure all boss battles are beatable.


Enemies who explode or spawn enemies on death. Killing them by grabbing and bringing to your mouth might end up damaging yourself. Charging through those enemies to finish them off would be a solution.


The charging ability counters any damage you would get while charging and is a good way to damage any enemy. Do be aware of where you end up at the end of your dash. Boss rooms also feature a player's corpse you can take over.


If an enemy has low health while you are in the room they get the fear effect and will run away from you. Carrion also has the extra ability of not being able to get collision damage from scared enemies, making him excellent at slaughtering fodder.


A lot of items will still also apply to Carrion, but any items that have to do with shooting tears/other default ways of attacking often have no effect. The damage stat does have effect, other stats don't. However, if you are controlling a player corpse using parasite all items do apply correctly to that player.


Carrion can only be played by player 1, but It's possible to have other players with other characters next to it.
