Motion is good for cinematic appeal but it is inherently bad for competitive play, you will get an advantage if you just turn the blur off.

Sharper gameplay is often more desired than pretty blurrs when moving around.

Another side effect can happen when blur is used in an unnatural way this can actually induce vomiting to those are prone to motion sickness.

and creepy or unsettling can occur if you watch video that is compensating all the blur, it does not feel real and some people get panic attacks.

The main reason gamers turn blur of is because it is used in a way that is distracting from the gameplay or to save a few FPS by not rendering the effect.

I don't really understand why so many people dislike motion blur, I personally really like it, I just wish I had a good enough PC for everything else lol

Oh there is an easy way to turn it off, you need too set post processing gfx option to low, that will get rid of most of that blur but you are also trading overall post processing FX so first thing I did was went digging for an config file and found it fairly fast.

Yeah I don't know why they this, EA really loves to over do the motion blur more so than others, other studio's tastefully include blur now I don't flat out hate blur it just needs to be tasteful, however, full screen blur though bugs me a lot.

i honestly dont get this, literaelly everyone i know hates motion blur and aggressive lens flare, yet it's been dozens of games since i've played a game that lets you easily turn it off, yet i can't find a single person who will defend it.

why the fuck dont devs just ... stop using it, its not even that fucking pretty.

I know, I was relieved when I found it and now turning does not look like I am dropping down to 30 frames, did that happen to you too?

Steering with mouse felt really slow before like frame drops even though frame rate was above 150 not sure if was motion blur or directX12 but I also gained 80fps and it no longer feels sluggish during lots of motion.
