Bueno, que decir de este controvertido film que ya no se haya dicho, debatido e incluso iniciado guerras? xD
Si bien no me parece un film perfecto ni mucho menos, creo que sin ser brillante hasta cuando Paul y Jessica escapan siendo rehenes de los Harkonnen esta bastante genial, luego el film se siente demasiado apresurado en lo que es mi parte favorita del libro, cuando conocen a los Fremen, a Stilgar, a Chani y la pelea contra Jamis, todo eso en el libro es magnifico, y siempre fui partidario de que una adaptacion no debe ser fiel para ser buena, pero toda esa gran situacion se resuelve tan veloz de una forma tan basica, choca tanto con toda las dos horas anteriores en que se tomaba su tiempo para contarte las cosas, que ahi empieza a decaer la cinta con algun que otro momento memorable.
Se encontro escenas de esa misma escena que me parecen geniales, como Paul llorando a Stilgar, y solo puedo confirmar que si a Lynch lo hubieran dejado filmar su pelicula hubiera sido otra historia completamente diferente, el que no es fanatico de la Ciencia Ficcion, leyo el libro para llevar a cabo la adaptacion y realmente quedo encantado con la obra maestra de Herbert, estaba muy ansioso de plasmar muchisimas cosas en aquella extensa obra, ya que al leerla se dio cuenta que era posible hacerlo, todo eso hasta que ya saben, la tipica historia de Hollywood.
Estoy a favor de Jodorowsky cuando dijo que el Film fue un desastre no por Lynch, si no por la avaricia de las productoras, que si hubieran dejado a Lynch encargarse del proyecto como deberia, hubiera sido un exito.
Pero bueno, a pesar de los errores del film, siempre me gusto verla como un What If de que pasaria si Paul jamas sentiria culpa o remordimiento por ser un Dictador, encabezar el Jihad, y todo eso, como se vio en la novela, y que tambien se descubrieron escenas filmadas de Paul realmente cuestionando su ser y su posicion, otra cosa que eliminaron.
De alguna forma filmar Dune para Lynch fue su propio Gom Jabbar, pero en propias palabras de el, un desastre asi fue liberador, una vez que fracasas no hay sitio donde seguir que no sea arriba, amado sea mi Lynch querido.
Podria hablar horas y horas de Dune y Lynch, y jamas cansarme, pero bueno, dejo aca y espero que disfruten de estos creditos finales con esa hermosa cancion de Toto, me despido, cuidense n-n

Well, what to say about this controversial film that has not already been said, debated and even started wars? xD
While it doesn't seem like a perfect film to me by any means, I think without being brilliant even when Paul and Jessica escape being hostages of the Harkonnen it is pretty cool, then the film feels too rushed in what is my favorite part of the book, when They know the Fremen, Stilgar, Chani and the fight against Jamis, all that in the book is magnificent, and I always believed that an adaptation should not be faithful to be good, but all that great situation is resolved so quickly Such a basic form, clashes so much with all the previous two hours in which he took his time to tell you things, that there the tape begins to decay with the occasional memorable moment.
There were scenes from that same scene that seem great to me, like Paul crying to Stilgar, and I can only confirm that if Lynch had been allowed to film his movie it would have been a completely different story, the one who is not a fan of Science Fiction, I read the book to carry out the adaptation and I was really delighted with Herbert's masterpiece, I was very eager to capture many things in that extensive work, since when reading it he realized that it was possible to do it, all that until you know, the typical Hollywood story.
I am in favor of Jodorowsky when he said that the Film was a disaster not because of Lynch, but because of the greed of the producers, that if they had let Lynch take over the project as it should, it would have been a success.
But hey, despite the mistakes of the film, I always liked to see it as a What If that would happen if Paul never felt guilt or remorse for being a Dictator, leading the Jihad, and all that, as seen in the novel, and that filmed scenes of Paul really questioning his being and his position were also discovered, another thing that they eliminated.
I could talk for hours and hours about Dune and Lynch, and never get tired, but hey, I'll stop here and I hope you enjoy these final credits with that beautiful Toto song, I say goodbye, take care n-n
