Not sure if this was available to you before but you can now select Save File Issues from main menu. Open backup directory and remember the directory then go back to main menu and import save file from that backup directory.

its funny to die on first match btw its a fox chasing a weasel not a rat lol.
and blade its not a very good choice because of its short range (melee) its easier to use elementary
