---Spear and Shield----
Overview

Career Accessibility
Mercenary, Huntsman, Foot Knight
Basic Stats
Stamina:
10 stamina/5 shields
Dodge:
105% dodge distance, 3 dodge count
Block/Push ability:
Front block angle is 120°(60° less than normal shield weapons).
Push strength and block cost are the same as normal shield weapons.
Crit chance:
No extra crit chance.
Mass modifier:
Light attack 1 and heavy attack 1 have Tank.
Additional notes:
Block while pressing Special Attack(default key: Mouse 5) can do two light pokes.
Successful special attack hit will consume 1 stamina(half shield).

Kruber Spear & Shield is the absolute best shield weapon in the game. It has efficient horde clear combo on both light and heavy attacks. The special attack, however, is the most unique and amazing part of this weapon, being able to block every single attack in the game(including monster slam attacks) while dealing good single target damage, easy solution to deal with Monk/Berserker and tanking monster/boss. Combine with the strong shield push that is able to stagger most elites out of their overhead (with some property/trait investment), it is the ultimate survivability and frontline weapon, while having above-average dodge among heavy weapons and decent damage.

Pros: All rounded, has good horde clear and single target damage. Very safe to use. High dodge among shield weapons. High stagger.
Cons: Fairly low DPS compare to normal high damage weapons.

Recommended Weapon Combo:
Special attack:
Spear and Shield special attack(default key: Mouse 5) is two light spears poke while blocking. It has good damage on unarmoured units and low damage on armoured. Use it when you are under pressure, like tanking a Monster/Boss or fighting multiple unstaggerable elites.

Against horde:
When fighting horde for high DPS, use combo light attack - light attack - block cancel

When fighting horde for high stagger, use combo push - heavy attack.

Against elite:
When fighting unarmoured elites, use chain light attack.

When fighting armoured elites, use combo push attack - heavy attack - heavy attack.

Against monster:
When fighting unarmoured monster, use chain light attack.

When fighting armoured monster, use combo push attack - heavy attack - heavy attack.
---Trollhammer Torpedo---
Overview

Career Accessibility
Iron Breaker, Outcast Engineer
Basic Stats
Stamina:
6 stamina/3 shields
Block/Push ability:
Same as normal weapons.
Dodge:
100% dodge distance, 1 dodge count
Armor Piercing:
Pierce normal and super armour.
Crit chance:
No extra crit chance.
Mass modifier:
No mass modifier.
Additional notes:
  • Does Impact + Explosion damage.
Impact damage is single target, can headshot and crit.
Explosion damage is AoE, has huge damage drop off.
  • Only works with Grenadier. Does not work with Explosive Ordiance or Sharpnel.
  • Does not work with Engineer talent Bombardier .

Trollhammer Torpedo is a unique grenade launcher range weapon. Its projectile has similar damage/impact as a Bomb, while being able to deal headshot or crit damage. However, it is heavily limited to its ammo count and regen, while the huge explosion damage drop off making it less effective on multiple elites unless they are tightly grouped up. The ability to block/push is only a small utility tool.

Pros: High close range damage. High short term horde clear and single target damage. High crowd control.
Cons: Low reload speed. Fairly low ammo count and bad ammo regen. Fairly low accuracy.

Default mode(left-click):
Left click and fire.
Should be used for offensive purpose.

Block/Push mode(right-click):
Hold right-click into block. While blocking, left click to push.
Should be used for defensive purpose.
---Moonfire Bow---
Overview

Career Accessibility
Waystalker, Handmaiden, Shade, Sister of the Thorn
Basic Stats
Dodge:
100% dodge distance, 3 dodge count
Armor Piercing:
Pierce all armours.
Crit chance:
No extra crit chance.
Mass modifier:
No mass modifier.
Additional notes:
  • DoT damage increases when arrow crit/headshot/crit headshot. Crit & headshot bouns damage does not stack.
  • After completely drained the energy, you cannot fire any arrows for 5 sec.
  • Trait can only be Barrage, Hunter, Inspirational Shot and Resourceful Sharpshooter.
  • Currently does not work with these talents/passive/perk:
Waystalker - Arrow-storm. Serrated Shot overwrites its DoT.
    Handmaiden - Quiver of Plenty
    Shade - Bloodfletcher.

Moonfire bow is the energy weapon version of longbow. Unlike longbow relying on headshot instant kill, moonfire bow relies on its DoT damage, though DoT damage does increase when landing critical hit/headshot. With high headshot rate, longbow can snipe specials and elites faster than moonfire bow, but they have similar bodyshot breakpoints, and moonfire bow has infinite ammo, and can use traits like Barrage/Hunter to boost your melee weapon without worrying about sustain.

Pros: Good special breakpoints. Versatile. No ammo sustain issue.
Cons: Full charge requires time. Limited arrows in a short period of time.

Quick fire mode(left-click):
Left click.
Has 1 impact damage and 1 stack of single target DoT.
Can be used 6 times with full magic bar.
Should be avoided using unless doesn't have enough magic bar.

Quick charged arrow mode(right-click):
Right click and then left click immediately.
Has 1 impact damage and 1 stack of single target DoT.
Can be used 5 times with full magic bar.
Should be used on single elite/special when you can bodyshot.

Fully charged arrow mode(right-click):
Right click, hold for a while and then left click.
You can tell if it's fully charged with the sound effect.
Has 1 impact damage and 1 stack of single target DoT.
Can be used 4 times with full magic bar.
Should be used on monster, or single elite/special when you have the time to charge & headshot.
---Griffonfoot Pistol---
Overview

Career Accessibility
Witch Hunter Captain, Bounty Hunter, Zealot
Basic Stats
Dodge:
125% dodge distance, 100 dodge count
Armor Piercing:
Both attacks pierce normal armour. Do not pierce Super Armor without headshot/crit.
Crit chance:
No extra crit chance.
Mass modifier:
Has Linesman on Primary attack.
Additional notes:
Has unique spread pattern.
The primary attack has 18 pellets.

Griffionfoot is Saltzpyre's unique shotgun weapon. Compare to Blunderbuss/Grudge Raker, it has even better horde clear and crowd control ability, thanks to its high ammo count, fast reload and special spread pattern. However, it loses their high stagger power, and its spread pattern making it even worse at dealing with armour units, especially at medium to long range.

Pros: High close range Infantry/Berzerker damage. Great spread pattern for close range horde clear.
Cons: Early range damage fall off. Low Armour/Monster damage. Low stagger power.

Default mode(left-click):
Can hold left click to continuously fire.
Should be used for most targets.

Alt-fire mode(right-click):
Should be used to stagger extreme close range mobs.

Alternatively, if you have at least one ammo in stock, you can bash - reload cancel - bash to bash faster.
---Coruscation Staff---
Overview

Career Accessibility
Battle Wizard, Pyromancer, Unchained
Basic Stats
Dodge:
100% dodge distance, 2 dodge count
Armor Piercing:
The primary attack pierces normal armour. Does not pierce Super Armor without headshot/crit.
Geyser applies DoT to all targets.
Crit chance:
No extra crit chance.
Mass modifier:
No mass modifier.
Additional notes:
Geyser attack has no stagger or impact damage but leaving a long-lasting pit of fire that applies low tick rate DoT.
Some enemy AI will try to avoid the fire pit.
The primary attack has 9 fireballs.

Coruscation Staff is a close to medium range specialized staff. The left-click primary attack drains a huge amount of heat but provides decent burst. Goes very well with careers that wants to maintain high heat or have abilities to increase your cast time. The right-click geyser attack charges super fast and leaves a fire pit that deals high DoT damage against all types of enemies. But the area is small and lacks stagger, and multiple fire pit DoT damage does not stack. Some enemy AI would try to avoid the fire pit thus taking low to no damage, but sometimes you can use this mechanic to re-path enemies and funnel them to use high burst primary attack to burst them.

Pros: Primary attack has high close/medium range Infantry/Berzerker damage, good close/medium range Armour/Monster damage. Geyser attack has fast charge rate and does good damage.
Cons: Primary attack drains huge amount of heat. Geyser attack covers small area. Both attacks have low to none long range damage.

Primary attack(left-click):
Left click.
Should be used for close to medium range lined up Infantry/Berzerker enemies, and moving Monster/Armoured enemies.

Can use QQ cancel to increase primary attack fire rate.

Geyser attack(right-click):
Hold right click, then left click.
Holding right-click will increase firepit radius and damage.
Should be used to crowd control, changing enemy path or dealing high DoT to enemies passing through it. Or deal damage to Monster/Armoured enemies that are kept at the same place.

Ah! Thanks a lot, yeah, armoury doesn't show the amount of dot stacks. That confused me. Thanks for clearing it up!

Full charge gives you extra 2 dot ticks. Quick arrow has 2 ticks, quick charge has 4, full charge has 6.

Hey, Moonbow has the exact same damage on each charge state - so why would you ever charge it now? You can shoot more if you do it without using RMB. I just noticed this when scrolling trough the armory in-game and it really confuses me - is this an unintentional remnant from pre-nerf times?

It will reach legend breakpoints but not optimal.
