Intro
So, you've set your pick down on your desk, rack, or amp and left. Now you've come back and can't seem to locate your pick. Well that's where my guide comes in. Just follow these steps and you will be back to playing those sick anime songs hard rock riffs.
Step 1: step back
The first step is to take a step back and get a big picture of your situation. Now you should think about the last place you put your pick. Start there and break your area down into smaller sections. It is easier to bite down on a smaller area than look everywhere at once.
Step 2: Use your resources
Still can't find it? Try turning on the light or getting a flashlight. The reflective surface of most picks will reflect the light and help you locate it. If this doesn't work, you may need to go deeper and get a screwdriver or saw. Start taking apart desks, walls and floors. You may even need to deconstruct your whole house/apartment to find this pick. Some places to check are: under the carpet, behind the walls, under your computer's cpu. These are the most common places that I find my picks.
Step 3: Look elsewhere
Still can't find your pick after literally deconstructing your whole house? You may even need to check your neighbors. Did they take your pick or did you leave it over there. Start by knocking on doors and asking. If that doesn't work you may need to find another way in. Make sure to check all the houses and bring a saw/screwdriver. It will be important for deconstructing their houses too.
Step 4: Contemplate life decisions.
Here is the part of the guide where you begin to wonder if playing the guitar was the right choice. Maybe bass was better; they can play fingerstyle. What's next? Do you continue searching all the buildings in the world for your pick or just give up? That is up to you to decide.
Step 5: War criminal
By now you have probably violated Part III, Section III, Article 53 of the Fourth Geneva Convention which states:
Any destruction by the Occupying Power of real or personal property belonging individually or collectively to private persons, or to the State, or to other public authorities, or to social or cooperative organizations, is prohibited, except where such destruction is rendered absolutely necessary by military operations.
This is problematic and possibly an unintended consequence of this guide. Never the less, I hope that you are able to live the rest of your life as a war criminal.
Conclusion
Play bass

Thank you

I bought a pick holder with a magazine and glued it to the guitar. Never run out of picks! Also I don't use them because I play bass.

they have little micro chips built into the pics, as soon as they are not supervised by anyone the little buggers grow legs and start crawling and hiding

Simple pick making guide: while you're searching for your pick don't trim your nails so then you'll have enough natural home grown later when you lose your backup backup pick.
