The post-apocalypse (Latin post 'after, after') is the time after an event that destroyed large parts of humanity and the civilization it built. Old social systems no longer apply, and an archaic system of the stronger often prevails. Post-apocalyptic narratives are an - often dystopian - sub-genre of science fiction and fantasy. The wallpaper shows exactly such a scenario.
