"The Steamer from Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition made from paper! The only things not made from paper are the wooden frame the boat rests in and the wooden blocks supporting the wheels.

As I started playing the United States the Steamer was quickly becoming my favourite ship. Not because of its combat abilities but for the look alone. The big waterwheels on the side and the flags going over the boat are in my opinion the most interesting parts.

I have made some other boats in the past, but this is the largest one by far. The size itself proved to be the biggest hurdle throughout construction. My work desk (not in the picture) had barely enough space to store all the individual parts. Careful planning was also necessary. I had to be very sure I no longer needed to work on a section before gluing it together, otherwise I would have had to cut the thing open again which would be a shame.

The waterwheels of the boat are not glued stuck but attached by a central pipe to the casing, which means that the wheels can actually spin around when pushing them. The nameplate which normally says 'United States' is removable to make room for other nameplates. I've printed out several names the Steamer can have in-game so I can change them when I see fit.

As previously stated this is my biggest papercraft so far! To give you an idea of its size here are some measurements;
From the tip to the hut on the back : 97 centimetres (38 inches)
from bottom hull to the tip of the mast: 73 centimetres (29 inches)
from nameplate to other nameplate: 34 centimetres (13.5 inches)"
