Down with the Crooked Cross is a simple texture replacement mod aims to improve players' immersion by altering censored World War II-era German insignias and symbols. this mod is purely made for the sake of HISTORICAL ACCURACY and not made with intention to deny Nazi war crimes or glorify their ideology.

This mod alters following content:

- Hakenkreuz(Swastika) can now be seen on Third Reich flags and banners instead of Iron Cross.
- Adds the correct insignia on German Stahlhelm.
- SS-Danzig flag now has Hakenkreuz as well with Totenkopf skull.
- Crashed Junkers 88 bomber now has Luftwaffe Hakenkreuz added in her tail.
- Most of ammo crates now has Hakenkreuz textures instead of Iron Cross.
- Most of German officer caps now has Hakenkreuz instead of plain circle.
- Enemy soldiers now wear correct belt buckles depends on their service branch(Wehrmacht or SS)
- Nazi Armband now has Hakenkreuz instead of Iron Cross.
- Nazi Reichsadler decal texture is modified to have Hakenkreuz instead of Iron Cross.
- DRBBR50 Train engine now has Hakenkreuz Reichsadler on its door instead of Iron Cross.

This mod does NOT alter following content:

- At least 3 ammo box Iron Cross textures
Some of those textures are distorted beyond recognition when viewed as texture files and with my beginner skills, i failed to find a way to alter those problematic textures.

- Reichsadlers from Field caps and Pilotkas
Could not alter them because they were in low resolution, it was impossible to fit Swastika to 2x2 space.

- Cutscenes
Obviously.

1) Download the required file from the link above
2) Extract "Z_DownWithTheCrookedCross_P.pak" in ~Partisans 1941\Partisans\Content\Paks.
3) Done.

Q. Does this mod disable achievements?
A. No.

A. Check my profile to see answer, but in short, no. even the developers didn't censor all textures, literal Hitler portrait can be seen from game files.
