My guess is it has something to do with the Reshade software and settings maybe? You could try to test it without mods and see if the issues still occur. Feel free to show me the screenshots if you'd like.
I don't have the 4k graphics installed but I did follow the rest of the instructions
mod works completely fine thanks a lot for the guide
the fix i mentioned in previous comment works btw. but you have to go to game's folder and open GameData folder and change the settings on a file called jasp.exe
That definitely shouldn't be happening. If I were you, I'd uninstall the game. Then make sure you go back to the game directory and delete any lingering files, that way it's FULLY uninstalled. Then install a fresh copy of the game, making a backup of full vanilla game to another drive. After following the guide steps, you should be able to launch and play successfully. I recommend making a backup of the fully modded working game as well along with the vanilla. This way you can easily copy paste without downloading and installing multiple times, this will also help for trouble shooting the issue if it's still present. Never validate game files if everything's working fine for you. If the game auto validate and updates, it will ruin the modded game files in which case you need to start over. To stop auto validating, there should be a setting in steam you can toggle off when you go to library and right click your game.
