For reference, in ffxiv the servers tick every 3 seconds. Let that sink in.

@Outrageous Fun How often the game/client communicates with the server. Think of it like screen refresh rate, but for internet connections. The higher the better. 14 has one of the worst tickrates I know of, at an astonishing .3

Standard tickrate is similar to standard refresh rates, so 24, 30, 60, etc. 14's is a pathetic sliver of this because squeenix be like "no we dont want to put proper investment into what's making us the most money"
