Grounded - SLI FIX - NVIDIA
By Madmonkey68
**1.0 Release seems to cause lower performance issues now with this guide**

This is a guide on how to get SLI up and running for NVIDIA users in Grounded.
It also displays how to improve image quality by removing the blurry (TXAA) anti-aliasing and depth-of-field options.

The following fix WILL enable SLI functionality but current scaling and performance increases will vary.
I have yet to find a good SLI profile with settings that scale well resulting in considerable performance increases in Grounded. As a result, this guide will remain as a "work-in-progress" until further notice.

(Feel free to post your solutions in the comments, if I find they work well, I will update and credit you!)

Tested with the following at 4K (3840x2160) resolution:

GeForce Game Ready Driver - Version: 511.23, Release date: 01/14/2022

CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K
GPU: SLI EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080TI FTW3 ELITE GAMING
RAM: 32GB
OS: Windows 10

Performance Increase: 5-10 FPS
GPU Scaling/Utilization: 10-30%

Getting Started

Install a fresh copy of Grounded and run the game at least once making sure to customize the video and graphical settings.
Launch Options
In Steam Library, right click Grounded and go Properties then General, go down until you see Launch Options and paste: -dx11

Normally Grounded uses Direct X 12 API by default, which SLI cannot use.
This modification will make sure the game launches in Direct X 11 API, enabling SLI functionality.
Nvidia Control Panel
Set the following preset in Nvidia Control Panel or feel free to follow along with the pictures:
SLI rendering mode: NVIDIA recommended

Performance
SLI DISABLED - No Changes

SLI ENABLED - With Changes

Please note performance may differ depending on user specs and graphical settings.

Optional - Removing TXAA and Depth-of-Field
In Windows, navigate to path: C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Maine\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

Open the file named "Engine.ini"

Copy paste the following at the end, making sure to press File and Save once done:

[SystemSettings]
r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=0
r.DepthOfFieldQuality=0
