The Witcher 2: Tactical Combat Guide
By LORD VADER
In this guide, I will give you tactics that even the devil will not think of so that you can progress in Witcher 2 without difficulty. You may not be able to fight as you want because the conflict mechanics of the game are terrible. Actually, the game is very good, but some of the mechanics are very annoying. You can minimize the disadvantage of these mechanics of the game by using the methods I have told you. I hope that will be useful...

Alchemy Tactics
First of all, there will be no pictures in this guide because I couldn't find the pictures I wanted. This guide, which consists of pure text, will be very useful for you. Have a good read...

1-Gadwall--Swallow--Virga:

#This is my favorite potion combination. It's very difficult to die when the health regen of Swallow and Gadwall works together and when Virga potion increases resistance to damage-critical effects. But there is a problem with this potion combination, that is, your stamina bar will be destroyed by the Gadwall potion. So you actually have 2 stamina points and you can make two marks at once if you wish, but once you drink Gadwall, your stamina bar disappears. If you are going to try this combination, you should consider this. This potion combination is for players who die before they understand what it is and complain about it .(Like me)

2-Virga--Golden Oriole--Mongoose:

#This potion combination will increase the resistance to Critical effects, especially poison. bleeding,(I hope I remember correctly, I would appreciate if you correct me if I'm wrong.) It has fire and poison resistance properties, but its version in Witcher 3 has only poison resistance. If you ask me, I prefer the version in Witcher 3. Let's get back to our topic; Virga potion is above As I said, it increases a lot of resistance, but it reduces the critical effect rates, so if your potions are on critical effect or power (Rook,Wolf,Thunderbolt) I do not recommend the Virga potion. Thanks to this potion combination, you will absorb the critical effects that monsters apply to you, you will get rid of it with the least damage. But this potion Combination also has a downside; no health regen. If you take damage, you lose. Your health will not return until the battle is over, or only a little bit of it will be regenerated, which is not very good. Because of this situation, you should use a lot of Quen signs and avoid attacks as much as possible.

3-Tawny Owl--Lapwing--Gadwall:

The point of #combination is to speed up your stamina recovery as much as possible and get you to do more marks in a row. My advice is to use the Igni sign if you want to make consecutive signs and do it for damage purposes. But if you are going to use it for a different purpose, the Aard sign will work very well. Using the Aard sign in a row If you stun your opponents and attack, the finisher will open instantly and you will kill the enemy in a very short time.

4-Petri--Stammelford--Tawny Owl:

#This combination can actually be replaced by Gadwall instead of Tawny Owl, but both Stammelford
Since both Gadwall are potions with serious side effects, I decided to use only Stammelford as a side effect. I aimed to reduce Stammelford's side effect by putting two potions with no side effects. That's right for you. Your Sign strength will increase considerably, so you will make 100 Signs by using functional signs in close combat such as Ign, Aard.

5-Thunderbolt--Rook--Wolf:

#Combination of pure power. Thanks to the Wolf elixir, you will be more likely to inflict critical effects, Wolf and Thunderbolt elixirs will also provide high muscle strength. However, Thunderbolt has a huge side effect. It reduces your health, breaks the Witcher's relatively weak muscle fibers and These side effects can be alleviated with the Swallow Potion. But since there is no Swallow in our combination, we will apply to Quen. (As far as I know, there is no way to increase toxicity in this game.)Since the increase in muscle strength is directly proportional to your sword damage, you can go into a trance and pierce what comes in front of you, but you have to be careful, you can die very easily.Quen,Quen,Quen.Quen is very important.

6-Other than that, you don't need to make combinations, of course, either for a single potion or choose one of the potion combinations I recommend, or create your own combination, the choice is yours. It has a side effect such as weakening. For this reason, you can eliminate this side effect by drinking rook. If you add it to the side of the Swallow, it will be a perfect combination. You will both increase your health, you will be more resistant to attacks, your muscle strength will increase and you will gain life refresh. albeit, the side effects of Ak Raffard Decoction may still exist. If you drink Swallows, you will end up with these residual side effects.

Finally, if you are going to progress through alchemy, make sure to turn on the feature that extends the elixir duration until the end, there are many features that increase the oil duration, increase the bomb and trap damage, turn them all on. And one of the most important is the alchemy feature called 'Harvest' is an alchemy you collect when you turn this feature on. For example, if you collect 2 Wolfsbane, you will get 4 pieces thanks to this feature, that is, it gives 2 more.

Oh my God what am I doing!! forgot the oils!!!

Excuse me guys, let's move on to the oils:

1-Falka's Blood: Whether you use it on humans or monsters, apply it on silver or steel, this oil will make everyone squirm in pain and cauterize their skin. It's a great oil to use.

2-The Hanged Man's Venom: You only need to apply this oil to your steel sword, because it only harms people, as you can see from the name. It is very useful and apply it to your steel in every fight.

3-Brown Oil: This oil can cause really serious bleeding and by using this oil, you can make your opponent die from bleeding or get seriously injured. My advice is to use it against powerful monsters.

Bombs:

#Samum:it's both easy to build and will give you some relaxation if you use it in intense battles. Ideal for when you're fighting too many enemies at the same time. When it explodes, it stuns and blinds everyone around you. Beware! you are one of the people around the bomb! and the bomb can also stun you nicely, making you vulnerable to monster attacks and causing your death, so it's a good idea to use Quen before using the bomb.

Yes, friends, I wrote everything that I think may be useful, let's move on to the next part...
Sign Tactics
1-Igni: This sign is like a gamble, you can win or lose thanks to the Igni. It can be really useful to spend your endurance on this sign, which is very useful in close combat. However, you have to do this in moderation because even if the enemy you are facing has as much health as an ant, do not attack him with the Igni sign. Play with it or you'll have a nervous breakdown. After quenching, sign Igni. Even if you're using your last stamina bar, do not quen, even if you're using your last stamina bar, so you can secure yourself and then attack. (Take risks every once in a while) If you support this destructive Igni sign with your graceful and effortless sword moves, you will have as little difficulty as possible in this game.

2-Aard: The Aard mark can be extremely useful, especially if it is developed. If you improve the Aard mark a little, the possibility of stun the opponent increases considerably, so we can quickly activate the finishing animation and defeat the enemy easily. The Aard mark in Witcher 2 is replaced by the Axii mark in Witcher 3 It is perfect for those who want to kill the enemy or enemies quickly.

3-Quen: This sign is the most useful sign of the game. It is a sign that will be used at every opportunity, when our health is low or to ensure ourselves. It is one of the biggest antidotes against the lousy mechanics of Witcher 2. If it is improved, Quen's shield can damage many enemies when it is broken. Especially an electric one. Since it is a sign, it will work wonders if used in rainy weather.

4-Yrden: Yrden is especially suitable for monsters. But it takes time to make this mark. You can't do it every time you want. You have to watch for the right time. It is very useful against monsters such as Kayran, Golem, Gargoyle and Arakas.

5-Axii: An unappreciated sign that only works in a few trivial dialogic acrobats that does not help anything. Do not try to use it in conflict. Geralt is stunned. The sign is useless.
Combat Tactics
#Now...we've come to the most critical point. Here we will combine what I said in the Alchemy and Sign Tactics sections with combat.Don't let the enemies get behind you. Be constantly on the move. Use the spacebar to constantly somersault and dodge attacks. Try to attack the enemies from behind as much as possible. You can suffer a lot. Because the enemies will fend off your attacks with their swords and you will not be able to escape from them. Because one of the biggest complaints I have in Witcher 2 is that the mechanics are cumbersome. Even if you press the spacebar perfectly at the right time, your enemy's blow still takes you away. When your sword move is parried, even though I crash the spacebar, I can't escape from there, I will inevitably take that blow in my mouth. When fighting with more than one enemy, the game does not detect which one I am targeting. For example; While I want to hit Warrior Nekker, the game cannot detect that I want to hit Warrior Nekker and I accidentally choose a different one. I hit Nekker, the real thing I want to hit is Nekker. Being able to finish properly in realistic difficulty and have fun is maarif. If you play the game on easy, the enemies will not be able to fend off your sword moves and you will be relatively comfortable. When a Nekker puts one on you, you will not die. There is a great advantage of playing easily. If you apply these tactics in the story, you will progress in the story without any difficulty. However, if you want to play on normal or higher difficulties, it is useful to apply these tactics; Enemies will have 2-3 sword moves. They will block you and you will take damage. To prevent this, you should not take risks. After making the Quen sign, approach your enemy and roll after you hit two of them and avoid them. So you will use a hit-and-run tactic accompanied by the Quen sign. And you have to risk the loss of durability. If you turn on the counter-attack feature on the character development screen, it will be much more advantageous to block. As you progress in the game, you will become stronger and the game will start to become much more fun. Make contracts, earn money, sell monster carcasses. Loot everywhere, sell everything you find to merchants and save money. The most money-making thing is to sell monster carcasses, parts, hunting loot. After trying them Then you will see that it is not difficult to earn money. I won 3000-odd Oren using this tactic in the game. You can do it too. After killing Kayran in Flotsam, make sure to make the Kayran Shell Armor, one of the best armors in the game, you will replace it with better ones in the future. The armorer has the Dragon Scale Armor, it's a really good quality armor. You can buy it in the future and add it from armor upgrades as you wish. Always aim to get better swords. First of all, Silver Sword then Steel. Be sure to drink elixir before fighting monsters or humans. It is very important to use Use m tactics or create your own tactics within the framework of these tactics and use them. Be sure to visit alchemists. Get new potion, oil, bomb formulas. Improve yourself constantly. If you want to get used to this game, all you have to do is play the game. It's easiest when I play the game for the first time. I couldn't cut two lousy thugs. I felt very strange, but then I got used to playing. Anyway, I hope my guide was useful, I wrote everything I know, thank you for reading so patiently. I would be very happy if you leave an award.
