Are you looking for a Rimworld modpack with weight behind it? This is my curated experience from playing over the years which focuses on bug squashing, expanding game content, and avoiding crippling your PC.

Click the green "Code" button and then "Download ZIP". From there, unzip and manually place the mod in your Common > RimWorld > Mods folder.

RimPy can help confirm if the local version of HAR is being used and NOT the Steam version.

Is this modpack difficult? Yes and no. In many ways the game becomes easier and less tedious. I've crafted this to my playstyle and nothing is perfect. Scroll down for Important Mod Option details.

Is this modpack finished for 1.4? Pretty much! Unless you have suggestions.



Getting Started
DLC Requirements:
• Royalty
• Ideology
• Biotech

System Recommendations:
• 8gb ~ 16gb+ of RAM
• 4gb ~ 8gb+ of VRAM
• SSD or M.2 Storage

While I suggest a strong and modern CPU, the primary limiting factor is your storage speed. To me, an SSD or M.2 is imperative.



Initial Setup
As noted by Mr Samuel Streamer: "Reinstalling Rimworld or unsubscribing from mods WILL NOT fully reset your reinstallation and old files can still persist!"

Folders that should be reset fully before beginning a new modpack:
Manually installed mods folder
— Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods
Steam mod download folder
— Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100
If all else fails:
Your user configurations, saves, etc
— AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios



Rimpy — VERY IMPORTANT !
What is RimPy?

I recommend RimPy for managing your mods, it's practically mandatory. Converting your textures from .png to .dds is incredibly important and is explained in detail: Click here for the Steam .dds conversion guide.

The initial mod texture conversion may take over an hour. The load time reduction is very significant on your second loading after conversion. My load times personally decreased from ~30 minutes to ~4 minutes, also utilizing an M.2 drive (an SSD is fine).

I also hear stripping mods (STEAM, NOT LOCAL) can increase performance.



Load Order Helper

Jumpshare lets you view and share .xml files, download it from there. For anyone that may be confused, the download link for the .xml is hidden behind the ". . ." triple dot on the top right of the website.

You can import this list into RimPy to automatically organize the mods. Make sure you're also subscribed to the majority of the mods you want within this collection.

If you don't like a mod in this collection, don't worry, don't use it!
The load order will still work unless you removed a dependency for something else. If RimPy warns you that a mod isn't present from the .xml just hit skip and let it sort what it can find.



Notes & Extra Mods
In the Discussions section there's a post for Extra Mods. It details a variety of content from scrap metal walls, music, & statue "art".

Additionally:
1 • When adding more mods yourself, always load RocketMan last.
2 • Favorite mods you like, but treat your subscribed mods as close to your actual modlist as possible. This might avoid strange bugs that I'd have no way to help with.
3 • Prefer no nudity? Consider replacing MaliBody with Erin's Body Retexture.

— Decide whether or not to use ammunition with weapons.
Dubs Bad Hygiene
— Difficult, lightly complex, but has benefits once mastered. In my opinion, turn off water need.
Threat Point Cap
— Had enough with raids scaling into absurdity? Cap it.
Dual Wield
— Adjust weapons to be one or two handed, as well as if they can be dual wielded or not.
Tech Advancing & Tech Block
— Decide how to curate your research gameplay to be easier or harder.
Cherry Picker
— Remove unwanted content like items, traits, or even genes.
Tab Sorting
— Group up and even remove excessive build menu clutter.
Minify Everything
— Remove Windows & Quarry objects, minifying them produces errors.
[LTO] Colony Groups
— Setup your colonist HUD how you want with a simple interface.
Optional Name Display
— Free up visibility when raided by large groups.
