"One of the easiest parries in the game. The windup is tremendously long, and guarantees a free parry. All you have to do is run to your right, avoiding the first attack, and then parry the second as soon as you see the blade start to return. The blade should be floating almost exactly on top of your opponent's head the moment you input parry. Because dagger parry has a long windup before its active parry frames begin, (which is the reason I use it so often aside from HEMA roleplay), the timing is a bit more precise. If you were to use Golden Parry or Carian Retaliation, which both have the same active frames and which both come out almost instantly, you can parry this slightly later or earlier, but not by much. The wide window of active frames on specialized parries can give you some wiggle room, but it can also be easy to overestimate and parry far too early or late. Wider frames are not always a good thing, and inactive delays can often provide for better synchronization with a telegraphed weapon art."
