Description
You need an envirosuit (V1 or above) and some turbo boots (V2 or above, so that you can get mid-air for a short time), both can be found in the Storage level (LVL 4).

Once you have those, you have to find the cyberspace terminal on the Executive level (same level where the groves are yk) to get clearance to the Beta Grove.

Once you're at the Beta Grove, SHODAN will give you a list of instructions (the silly goose) on how to screw her over, where the conclusion is that you need to disable all Safety Interlocks in the remaining groves, then find the Master Jettison Enable and activate it, then go back and pull the jettison lever at a specific Grove lounge to succeed.

Out of the 3 groves that remain, Beta Grove is used by SHODAN to develop the virus Edward Diego made further, therefore the air is full of dangerous toxic molecules that slowly drain your health, so it's best to know how to quickly get through this part of the game if you don't want to explore Beta Grove all that much - even though there are some pretty neat stuff you can find if you do.

Follow my steps in the video and you should be fine, hacker. 💽
P.S.
Bonus: Here's how this works in the original System Shock from 1994, just for fun.

Also, apologies for the low quality and the stutters, the latter I experienced myself as well whilst the former is due to the file sizes of my recordings as well as this whole video just being a quick afterthought. Still, I thought this could be useful to some folk so why not share it, you know.

I'm sorry to hear you're in such a situation, is a bit annoying for sure... best of luck and I hope you make the best of it!

No problem and thanks for replying. Yeah when I explore each map I end up picking up most if not all of the loose stuff and I've been buying out the machines whenever I find them so I really think my only way forward is to use multiple lives.

Hey! Sorry for such a late response, been a bit busy here. Have you tried collecting as much junk as you can so you can turn them into credits and buy all available medipaks?
Also, you can try and go for it several times even if you die, I believe, the game would get you back on a previous level at an available respawn point (that is if you are on the right difficulty if I'm not mistaken, so make sure you save anyways!), then get back to Beta Grove, use the energy station before it and you should be fine after a while.

I've used all of the healing and energy restore items I've come across, so I don't think there's much hope of being able to find more. I'm struggling to get through the quick way even with the enviro suit v1 and boots v2. Am I screwed? Should I just cheat?

Thanks you so much! This guide saved me a decent amount of braincells for this part of the game :missing:
