What are Phishers?

To make it short:

Phishers are People or Bots who add you* and send you a message.
In 90% of all cases these messages look like the picture below.

*in the most cases they come from popular Trading sites like Tf2outpost/Bazaar.tf

How to deal with them: Oldschool

There is the oldschool Version of dealing with them:

-Block them
-Unfriend them
-[if you want] Report them to steam.

How to deal with them: Remastered

Now let me explain you how to make actual profit from Phishers.

This variant also contains ''Block them, Unfriend them, [if you want] Report them'', but we do something before that.

Step 1: Acting Dumb

Here we go. Phisher has added you, and has sent you the Phishing Link

Now:
We do not insult him, We do not say something like ''Weird spelling of ''Steamcommunity''.
Instead, we do this:

This Means:
You ask the Phisher to give you items for free.

Step 2: Get the Items

As shown, you will ask the Phisher to trade you some items.

Q:Why should he do that?
A: He believes that you will actually click the Fake link, so he could just take the items back after he is in your account.

Step 3: Laugh and Profit.

You now have free items wich you can either use or resell.

Now you can sit back, laugh and be happy that you have officially made profit from a Phisher.

Note

Please note:

If the Phisher adds you, just sends the Link and never responds after that, he is probably a bot.
This means you will not get anything from him, so just apply the Oldschool-RemoveBlockandReport Variant here.

Important.

Many People wrote in the comments that you can get a SteamRep Scammer Tag through this.

I want to make clear that this is not right.
You are basically asking the Person to give you some items.
If he does so - it is his fault.
There is no need to worry about getting Marked etc.
So keep on getting those items :P
