Cats Hidden in Paris is a charming hand-drawn hidden object game in which your goal is to find 100 cats in Paris.

⏲️ Speedrun Achievement: Find all 100 cats in under 3 minutes [RETIRED]

⚠️ Note: Since its release, the developer has removed this achievement.

Completing the speedrun achievement will require memorization (of cat locations) and/or quick pattern recognition (i.e., quickly & easily noticing the differences between your game screen and the "100 Cat Locations" image).

Method #1:
Have the "100 Cat Locations" image up and enlarged on a 2nd monitor or in the background of your single monitor prior to beginning.

While zoomed in, search the map in a sweeping motion (starting from the top left moving to the top right, the middle right to the middle left, and the bottom left to the bottom right). If any cats are remaining after your initial sweep, refer to the "100 Cat Locations" image to determine which cats were missed.

Method #2:
Check out the guide "Tips to get [Speedrun] Achievement - Find all 100 cats in under 2 minutes" for an additional step-by-step strategy for unlocking the speedrun achievement.

If you're struggling to complete the speedrun achievement properly, the developer, Patrick, posted a cheat for completing it as of 07/20/2023 in his Update #2 Announcement:

Go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Cats Hidden in Paris
Open file hiscores1.dat
Write any number below 180000 to the first line
Save & close file
Start game
Profit

View hidden files and folders in Windows
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.

🐦 Locations: Seagulls [SECRET]

Note: There are 5 seagulls to find, which unlocks 1 secret achievement.

All 5 seagulls can be found between the center and right half of the map, as indicated below in red (click image to enlarge).

@wobistdu: Cats Hidden in Paris has a night mode that can be turned on in the settings, which should hopefully help with eyestrain.

I will look into adding additional images to the guide that are in night mode (for those who want/need it). 😺

Due to the "Speedrun Achievement" being removed in September 2023...
• updated the "Achievements Available" to 101.
• updated the estimated playthrough and achievement completion times to 5-15 minutes.

11/22/2023 Guide UPDATE:
• Fixed some issues with the "100 Locations" cats image, in which some of the sections weren't lined up or small (irrelevant) parts of the map were missing.
• Moved the "Speedrun Achievement" to its own [RETIRED] section, as the developer removed this achievement in September 2023.
• Added a numbered & color-coded "100 Locations" cats image for the base game, which will aid in locating specific missing cats.
