Introduction
Hello, my friends, and welcome to my video guide for Star Fleet II: Krellan Commander 2.0! In this series of videos, I'll take you through all the major functions of the game, piece by piece, as well as some hands-on examples of flying the Krellan battlecruiser in actual scenarios.

If you're wondering why the portions are entitled, "Episodes", that's because that's how I titled them on YouTube, and I wanted to be consistent.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and thank you for watching!
Episode 1 - Main Screen
This is the main screen, where you'll start every mission in Star Fleet II, and where you'll spend a considerable amount of time. This is, therefore, one of the longer tutorials because there is a lot to go into:

Episode 2 - Navigation
You can't do much in Star Fleet II if you don't know how to get around. This section covers the main facets of navigation, including:

Part 1 - The basics of the helm commands

Part 2 - Navigation map and probe usage

Part 3 - Going through the in-game navigational tutorial

Episode 3 - Engineering
You'll spend a lot of time in the engineering section, mostly for using the transporters, but also damage control and a few other things.

Part 1: Basic engineering

Part 2: Teleporters and landing parties

Part 3: Teleporters and transfers

Episode 4 - Combat
Combat takes up a massive part of the game, and there's no way a video tutorial can make up for the experience of getting into battle yourself, hopefully these videos will prepare you for the eventuality of combat.

Part 1: Basic combat tutorial

Part 2: Combat Control Center tutorial

Part 3: Boarding parties

Episode 5 - Computer Control
You'll be using this section a lot, especially in later portions of the game wherein the missions get more strategic and you're seeking out any enemy ship or planet:

Episode 6 - Security Control
You won't be using this section TOO much, but it is useful when you have a lot of captives.

Episode 7 - Communications
You'll be using this section throughout every portion of the game. Even when you reach Subadmiral and can give direct orders to any friendly asset, you'll use this menu to contact enemy ships, planets and your own Fleet HQ, so it never stops being useful:

Episode 8 - Strategic Command
The higher in the ranks you get, the more time you'll spend here. This is where you'll deal with invasions (both requesting and commanding them), escorts and Fleet Command (which becomes one of your most important tools). It, therefore becomes enormously important to know this section of the game well.

Part 1 - Strategic system basics

Part 2 - Escorts tutorial

Part 3 - Invasions tutorial

Part 4 - War map and upgraded probes

Part 5 - Fleet Command

Episode 9 - Science
You won't use this section of the game a lot, but it comes more into its own once you find artifacts at higher ranks.

Episode 10 - 1-A Playthrough
In this episode, I'll take you through a playthrough of the first mission in the game. Thanks to the random maps, your 1-A will be different from my 1-A, so nothing will be spoiled. Hopefully you'll just get an idea of what it's like to be on a working Krellan battlecruiser.

Episode 11 - Strategic Command Examples
These two tutorials will show you what it's like at the Admiral rank, the seventh and penultimate in the game (the final rank is Imperial Tribube, wherein you've finished all thirty-five missions).

This is where the game goes from tactical to strategic, and is basically the intended way to play the game. Ranks one through six were basically training you for the full-on assault that will be rank seven.

Part 1 - Strategic command tutorial

This takes you through the in-game tutorial that gives you a taste of full fleet command.

Part 2 - Mission 7-E sampler

Mission 7-E is the final mission in the game, and therefore the toughest. This glimpse as to what lies ahead will hopefully get you excited at the prospect of commanding the entire fleet yourself.

Conclusion, and Thank You
First off, thank you for your interest in these videos. I love, love, love Star Fleet II, and it's my hope that by making these videos, your entry into this fascinating game will be a little bit easier.

Star Fleet II isn't by any means an easy game, but it's also, by no means, a complicated one. It's complex, to be sure, but everything is laid out and created with purpose and intent, and once you grok those, you'll slip into command of a Battlecruiser as if you were slipping onto a pair of old gloves.

This is a big game, so please don't hesitate to ask questions in the comments, if you have them, or in the forums. We want to help and allow you to enjoy this game as much as we do.

Again, thank you for watching these videos, and good hunting, your excellency.

Thanks for the video tutorials. These and the manual have been a huge help for getting me started.

Thank you for watching them. I don't think this is a replacement for reading the manual, I just hope it helps with onboarding. :)

Wow, thanks so much for these videos. I'll watch them all (I even think I'll download them and keep them with the game). Must have been a hell of a work, I really appreciate it. Do you think your tutorial is a valid replacement for the study of the rulebook?
