Getting Started
So on your first day on the island, you will need to gather resources and begin to craft some essentials, all while searching for a place to put down some roots, but beware there are Dinosaurs out there that will eat you.

Stat Management - Health, Energy, Food, Water & Oxygen!
So when you spawn in for the first time, you will notice in the bottom right of the screen you have some icons. These are your stats, displaying your Health, Energy, Food, Water, Breathe. As you continue to journey on, gathering resources and such, these will begin to go down. This means you need to either Eat, Drink, and occasionally Bandage yourself, or surface in the water to get them to go back up. If these are to run out, you may find yourself dying sooner then you think.

Health

(Heal yourself by eating meats, and using bandages)

Energy - (Stamina)

(Eat green berries, eating foods will give you energy)

Food - (Hunger)

(Eat red berries, eating foods will fill your hunger up)

Water - (Hydration)

(Eat blue berries, drinking from water skins - filled up by using the well, will fill your hydration up)

Breathe - (Oxygen)

(Be sure when swimming, you stop to replenish your oxygen. Highly reccommend bringing green berries for energy to keep your energy stat filled up, as swimming can easily drain you of energy and oxygen, leading to death)
Temperature Status Effects
*You will notice you have a temperature meter, displaying how cold to how hot you are. Be sure to keep by a fire, wear clothing/gear, use a torch to stay warm. Also if your to hot, try to avoid standing on top of a fire, or move away from the nearest heat source.

Dying & Re-spawning
*If you happen to die in the game, whether it be from a dinosaur attack, starvation (hunger loss), dehydration (water loss), falling off a cliff, and many more ways. Don't worry, your body will drop a bag at the place of death (so where you died). Look for a beacon of light in that area, run to it and loot all of your things you had on you.

UI/HUD Explained
Here is a screenshot with each area highlighted to explain the UI/HUD screen you will be using all the time.

As seen above:
- Top Left of the screen is where you see the Day, Time, Weather within the game.
- Middle Left of the screen is where you will find your Profile & Engrams tab's, where you will spend your available points on either increased skills (Strength, Agility, Stamina, Intelligence, Luck) or unlocking engram blueprints within your players level to be crafted.
- Bottom Left of the screen is where you will find any armor/clothing you have crafted and equipped to wear, also showing their individual durability.
- Top Middle of the screen is your inventory, which can be scrolled up and down to view, along with the total carry weight and current weight being carried at to bottom of the inventory screen.
- Bottom Middle of the screen is the Hotbar (the 1-0 keys), where you will likely keep your tools, weapons, food, drink, some place able items (campfire, bed, crates, walls...), also showing the individual durability of each weapon & tool, along with if you have food, it will display a bar for how long till the food will spoil. Just below the Hotbar, you will notice a small blue bar with increments, this is your overall Experience (XP) Bar, that contributes to your player level. Each time this bar fully fills up it will reset to being empty and you will have leveled up 1 level and gain points to spend on the Profile & Engram tab's.

*Now this part is not shown, but if you click on Crafting tab next to the Inventory tab, top middle screen, you will open your on hand Crafting screen which allows you to craft some things from the start, while other blueprints become available in this list as you unlock them through spending points in the Engrams tab. There are also other Crafting screens such as this one, for each station you go in to use, such as the Mortar, Campfire, Well..., but these will not display a full list like the first one, as these craft specific items which you cannot just craft on hand while running around, keep this in mind.

*Engrams has been updated to Blueprints now.
Leveling Up (Max 28)
As you do things in the game, such as: gathering resources, crafting of items and so on. You will gain experience (xp) which over time will cause you to level up your player level, to a max of 28 currently. At each level up you will be given skill points to be invested in your character profile stats, like Strength, Agility, Stamina, Intelligence, Luck and additional points that can be used to unlock the engrams, allowing more craftable blueprints to be made. You will not gain enough to unlock them all, so spend these points wisely. Once you are max level 28, you will have obtained a total of 358 points spent. To complete everything would take 532 to be exact, in the games current state. So plan and spend wisely, as this allows for anyone doing coop/mp gameplay to divide out among each other who will spec into what in order to obtain the capabilities of crafting all the engrams and work together as a team, as for solo gameplay, you just need to plan accordingly for the long run.
Unlocking Blueprints
You will begin to level up as you gather resources and with each level gained you will be given skill points to spend, these skill points can be investing in unlocking other blueprints to allow for your crafting menu to grow with even more things to craft.

*Blueprints previously know as Engrams!
How to Gather Resources At First
Well first off you notice you have no tools to get anything, but don't worry. You need to run around and gather bushes along the ground, pick up wood logs, sticks, small stones, and even use those hands of your to hit some trees, just know prolonged hitting with your hands does lead to health loss. This is how you will begin to gain those resources to get started making some basic tools and weapons, in no time at all.

These 3 type of pastes, and the Meat Sack (Not Shown), can be used to tame dinosaurs. You will start by having the item on hand in your hot bar, and place the item down in front of the dinosaur. The dinosaur will eat this item, and you will see a bar fill up, with each item they eat the bar will increase more, until its 100% and the become your companion. The Sleepy Berry Paste is said to help slow down a dinosaur making it easier to tame. Fishing
*You can fish in any body of water, whether it be some nice little pond you build a base by, or the open ocean, all along the island and map.

So when your fishing, you need to level up till you unlock the Engram for the Fishing Rod, once you hit level 18. Also be sure to harvest worms from the bushes around. Once you have done this be sure to craft the Fishing Rod and have worms in your inventory. Go to any body of water and cast the line out into the water. You will see your floating bobber. When this bobber begins to get nibbles on it, making an ever slight up/down motion on the waters surface, you will reel it in to catch your fish. Now its time to go cook it on a fire and eat up!

Currently there are no tribes in the game, so this section is just covering the temple of ka-tara and ruins and such surrounding it. Future update will def cover the new tribes and their corresponding poi's for sure :)

I checked the guide, and one of the screenshots that you posted (the last one) in Temple of Ka-Tara i think its not the temple part, but a commerce area where others NPC will trade you things with the Tokkens (I think Temple of Ka-Tara is one tribe, and the commerce center is other tribe). Im probably wrong with it, but i think thats what i was told.

PART 3:

If you happen to encounter 2 melees NPCs, just hit one, it will comes to you, attack with ranged weapon going in circles away from the 2nd one. After Kilingl the 1st, then go with the 2nd, always with Ranged weapon.

Sometimes you will find only one around their campfire, just kill it with the Opposite weapon that they have.

I hope this msg helps everyone to play it cool and have a lot of fun :)

Cheers

Pd: I had to cut the masg in several parts bc Steam doesnt allow me to make more than 1000 words tho... :steamsad:
phoenixbs85 23 Nov, 2023 @ 3:21pm
PART 2:

Note: Why hit the ranged one 1st and no the melee one? Well, if you happens to fight against the melee one 1st and you "accidentally" past near the ranged one, or "activate" teh Ranged one, you will be hit even running away (because they will follow you until they are too far away from their campfire and they must to get back to their "spawn place"). Also if you need to attack the melee one with a bow, you will get stunned (not allowed to attack even with the shot or movement "activarted") so you will be unable to attack, but you are available to be attacked, making yourself eventually, a dead corpse.
phoenixbs85 23 Nov, 2023 @ 3:21pm
PART 1:

For NPC's battle, you need to know two basics things that i managged to learn by playing alone in Singleplayer: While you find 2 NPC one with a melee weapon and other with ranged weapon, do this:

Ranged One: dont go straight, just hit once with the bow (u need to have the arrows made too, tho XD ). Wait till its close to you, change your weapon to melee. Hit it till it dies but, be carefull to not get attacked, so be fast, and dont go far away from their campfire or the NPCs will despawn. Go in Circles and dont get too close to the other NPC. Kill the ranged, grab all its stuff (even its bow).

Melee one: Kill it only with ranged weapon, but never get him so close to you otherwise itt will attack you and hit you better than you (you will die in a couple of hits).
