Also, opinions on telling people how to gather their achievements rightfully should come from those who spent time on the game, not the 31 minutes you spent.
I'm assuming because the author of these saves had done the previous 5 and it's likely stored in the save itself!
Thank you so much! I was so worried i was going to have to play through the entire game again to get that particular achievement.
I usually don't mind that, but this game i very on-rails so it's not exactly my idea of fun :D
As someone who often publishes guides with various saves, I always state to switch off steam sync first, and then do all the changes.
If you don't want to lose you own progress, just move all that save files away to some backup folder anywhere in the system. The idea is to remove all the "SaveSlot_x" files from the "SaveGames" folder. And then place one of my save files.
Anyway, saves still definitely work, I've just checked them.
1. Go to save folder:
C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\TheInvincible\Saved\SaveGames
2. Delete the "SaveSlot_0.sav" file there.
3. Place my save file into the "SaveGames" folder.
4. Start the game.
As a theory... Steam's sync can mess with files, re-downloading your saves from the cloud (although it does not happen to me or anybody else here who used my files). In that case, before step 1 try going offline ("Steam" -> "Go Offline...") - it will prevent Steam from syncing save files upon starting the game. And after you make sure the correct save file is in the game, close the game, go online, start the game again (and when Steam asks which file to use as actual - choose local).
