Ready Or Not [1.0 Issues]

This guide will provide different solutions for currently known issues that players have encountered after the 1.0 update.
It is also still work in progress, so future issues and solutions, depending on user reports in the Ready Or Not Forum will be added.

General performance issues.
  • Try a different DirectX version.
  • Disable DLSS in the settings.
  • Install all latest updates of your current operating system.
  • Update your graphic card driver NVIDIA[www.nvidia.com] / AMD[www.amd.com]
  • Close all not needed programs that are running in the background.
  • Press Windows key + R, and type in %temp% -> Delete everything in this folder.
  • Uninstall no longer used programs from your device.
  • Open powershell as an administrator and enter:
    powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61
  • Unparking the CPU can help with improving the peformance of the current CPU. QuickCPU[coderbag.com]
  • Restart your device.
Game crashes on startup
  1. Right click on "Ready Or Not" in your Steam library.
  2. Click on "Manage > Browse local files"
  3. Navigate to "readyornot\content\paks"
  4. Delete everything that is not a windowsnoeditor 0-20 pak.
  5. Navigate to %localappdata% and delete "ReadyOrNot".
  6. Verify Integrity of Game Files
Game still crashes on startup
  1. Delete all files from "Ready Or Not"
  2. Uninstall the game.
  3. Install the game again.
Game still says "Modded" at the top corner
  1. Right click on "Ready Or Not" in your Steam library.
  2. Click on "Manage > Browse local files"
  3. Navigate to "readyornot\content\paks"
  4. Delete everything that is not a windowsnoeditor 0-20 pak.
  5. Navigate to %localappdata% and delete "ReadyOrNot".
  6. Verify Integrity of Game Files
Animations/Ai/etc have incorrect behavior.
This issue might be caused by earlier or current installed mods.
  1. Right click on "Ready Or Not" in your Steam library.

  5. Navigate to %localappdata% and delete "ReadyOrNot".

@scarecrow 660M drivers are end of life since 2021, so any games updated or released past then will probably have issues

Some users reported that DLSS right now in the current state is causing performance issues on their end.

app isn't compatible with 660M. might as well just finally start getting a whole new build with rtx 40 series.

Then download Geforce Experience to update your graphic card driver. It is also linked in my guide.

nvidia gtx 660m...and i've been able to run past versions with it.

what if i'm stuck with a black screen after launching the game...

and even after i've already done the following :

- clean save data
- delete old files and mods
- verify integrity several times
- re-installed several times
- done disk cleanup
