When I first played Wolfenstein back in the day, I didn't realize that there were sometimes different paths to get to a certain objective, so it's fun to discover them now.

There are two objectives on floor 9. One is to get two keys and the other is to kill the boss, Otto Giftmacher. There are three ways to get the keys, which I'm showing in this video.

The quickest way to get the keys is to sneak behind the guard and find the secret door. It contains both gold and silver keys. After that you can go and kill Otto.

The second way is to get the attention of the guard and lure him to another room. When he follows you, stab him. If you fire your gun anywhere (or if the guard fires), the noise will alarm 20 officers and 6 SS soldiers in the next room. If you're succesful, you can collect the keys the poor man was guarding and continue to Otto's room.

The third way is the most fun. Just open the door to the room with the keys and fire a shot. Then find a good spot to kill all 27 soldiers.

So, what do you need the keys for? Nothing really. They open doors into rooms with health and ammo. But if you have enough health and full ammo, you can take the fourth route: forget the keys and just march in Otto's room and blast him away!
