DirectX 8.1 Error Fix

1-Open your game folder.
2-Delete "dbghelp.dll" file.
3-It already solved enjoy it!
4(Optional)-If deleting the dbghelp.dll don't work, than go to documents than open Options.ini, make your Resolution settings to low valute (for ex. 800x600, don't worry you'll gonna change after in-game)
5(Multi optional)-If you did all the steps and the game still not working truly than open your game folder. Click right on "generals.exe", click on features come to compatibility part than active compatibility mode for your Windows version, well if still doesn't help than change the compatibility mode to Windows XP then others.

Option 4 is the best solution here. Make sure you change the resolution to whatever your native monitor resolution is or lower, i.e 800x600, 2560x1440 etc.

for all of those looking at this thread ..just go to legi.cc and download genpatcher..fixes all the problems

i have tried everything it keeps giving me the same error, the only thing that came close is the compatibility issue fixer. i think it must be something with the resulotion
