This is a guide for beating Alatreon in 'Blazing Black Twilight' without Kulve Taroth, Safi'jiiva, health augment, or any high level decorations.

This can be done from MR 24.

Since Alatreon starts in Fire-active mode, you must use an ice element weapon.

I highly recommend the Frostfang Barioth weapons from the event quest 'The Last White Knight'.

Required skills:

• Ice Attack Level 6 (max)
  
• Evade Window Level 3 (or higher)
  
• Blight Resistance Level 3 (max)
  
• Health Boost Level 3 (max)

Ice attack ensures that you deal enough elemental damage to suppress Alatreon's power.

Evade window makes it easier to dodge Alatreon's attacks, and allows for more forgiveness if you are unfamiliar with attack timings.

Blight resistance ensures that you are immune to Fireblight/Iceblight/Dragonblight.
Health boost stops you from getting 1-shot or 2-shot.

All other skills are for more damage.

Armour:

• Brachydium Helm Beta +
  
• Brachydium Mail Beta +
  
• Kushala Grip Alpha +
  
• Brachydium Faulds Beta +
  
• Brachydium Greaves Beta +

Charm:

• Frost Charm III or higher

Decorations:

• Vitality Jewel 1 (x3)
  
• Resistor Jewel 1 (x3)
  
• Frost Jewel 1 (x3)
  
• Expert Jewel 1 (x3, optional)

Make sure to upgrade your armour to the maximum level.

My best attempt using Longsword. It is not my main weapon; I had around ~120 hunts during the recording of this video.
