Introduction
Water Phantom Sword is a build that trivializes chaos difficulty. It can beat all enemies of the game with minor adjustments needed. It does respectable damage, have few weaknesses, and is effectively invulnerable. It's easy to build, and this optimized version is one of the most well balanced builds.

Life and Favorite if this is helpful.

Playstyle
Hold down right click (and left click before reborn), tap space bar.

Strength
  • Kill your enemies with 840 swords and 4 animals per second.
  • You can't really die against even the last bosses. And if that isn't enough, can keep up actual invulnerability with ultimate skill.
  • Easy to transition from a sword early game; can get going by Golden Core.
  • Easy sustain.
  • Faceroll all bosses.
  • Doesn't really require destinies.
  • No serious weakness.

Weakness
  • Effectiveness limited by GPU.
  • Can hurt your hand. To ameliorate this, against bosses, take your hand off WASD, and just tap space bar. Movement control not really required.
  • Focus on motion skill means weakness to motion skill seal. The only real problem is King Luhua, who requires an adjustment.
  • Can't really see much.

Basic Mechanics
Core Loop
This build depends on the core build mechanics of swords: alternating special and motion skills with nearly no cooldown.

Specifically, we use the following affix on Shadowless Sword special skill to reduce the cooldown of our motion skill to zero by detonating bleeds.

Then, we use the following affix on a sword Divine Power mind skill to reduce the cooldown of our special skill to zero.

Every use of our water motion skill will summons a phantom.

Our multiple phantoms summoned every second all use our Moonshadow Sword basic attack, which launches multiple swords at the enemy, all of which can apply the bleed.

The result of our core loop is blinking several times a second, each time leaving a phantom behind and casting shadowless sword, which launches 20+ homing swords.

Building Upon the Core Loop
Our power mechanics mostly derive from our core loop. Beyond having dozens of phantoms attacking, we scale our damage with:
.
This stacks infinitely, and all stack refreshes when an ally dies. Thus, as long as an ally dies every 10 seconds, this will increase indefinitely. Every phantom that dies gives us 2% damage.

As our phantom can last more than 10 seconds, we ensure an ally dies every 10 seconds by using the Luwu unlimited damage scaling tech.

Furthermore, each use of our motion skill will cause Luwu to "die" once, giving us another stack of ally death multiplier.

By using Skyfall sword as our ultimate, every motion skill will leave a sword shadow on the ground. When we use our ultimate, all our sword shadows "die", further increasing our ally death multiplier.

With all these combined, every use of our motion skill will ultimately give us 3 stacks of ally death multiplier, which comes to a 6% stacking damage boost. This will also help us with energy recovery, as outlined later.

Our ultimate will also give us invulnerability with the following affix:

Since we can use our motion skill much faster than once every 1.2 seconds, we can have permanent invulnerability later in the battle.

To ensure our safety early on (and make us effectively invulnerable even without our ultimate), we generate shield with the following affix on our Guide mind skill:

As we use both motion and special skill multiple times a second, we generate a lot of shields. Furthermore, damage is clamped to shield; no matter how high the damage is, as long as we have shield, it will be fully blocked by shield without damaging our health. In short, as long as our loop continues, we cannot be damaged by anything other than extremely rapid multiple hits per second.

To actually sustain our energy expenditure, we use:

This affix on our Guide mind skill is enough all on its own as long as we get some energy cost reduction. If we can, "energy recovery on ally death" is an extremely powerful supplemental. Just like "damage on ally death", every use of our motion skill will eventually trigger this three times.

Finally, the artifact spirit Muqing will allow us to also recover our life when we recover our energy.

Will come eventually.
