Intro and a quick explanation.
Hey there, fellow gamers, and welcome to my sixth ever Steam guide regarding "Counter-Strike 2" as well as "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive".

So what is this Trust Factor and why the need for it to be in good standing?

Well, it's quite simple really - introduced back in 2017 and consisting of three types (Green representing good behavior, Red being the worst one possible and Yellow being somewhere in between), the Trust Factor acts as a rating system that will match players based on their overall behavior in the game.

Even more simply put - if you have a bad Trust Factor (like Yellow or even worse, Red), the probability of being matched with bad teammates (cheaters, hackers, trolls etc., who also have a bad Trust Factor) increases exponentially and believe me, you do NOT want that.

A few simple ways to improve your Trust Factor.
1. Use the "Steam Guard" feature.
2. Set your "Steam" profile to Public.
3. Make more friends and add them on "Steam".
4. Remove any banned people from your Friends List and do not add others that have also been banned in the past.
5. Become an active and consistent member of the "Steam Community".
6. Comment on different profiles, screenshots, artwork, discussions and guides like this one.
7. Play games on a regular basis and avoid cheating.
8. Do not play with teammates that use cheating software.
9. Give weapons to your teammates.
10. Receive praise (be commended) from your teammates.
11. Do not kick players out of any match.
12. Participate in as many "Overwatch" cases as you can.
13. Whenever possible, play with people that have a high Trust Factor.
14. Always mention any potential cheaters, even if they are on your team.
15. Don't be toxic towards anyone, especially your opponents, even if someone challenges/instigates you.
16. Do not harass your teammates in any way (via voice chat, text chat, blocking, teamkilling, trolling etc.).
17. No matter the situation, always be friendly!
