Took a while because of how stupid two of the achievements are but here it is
At 27 hours in the game currently, a lot of these achievements didn't feel too much harder than their normal boss counterpart after finishing the game, but two of them absolutely did: Spawner and Abstinence, the first requiring a no-hit of Medusa's second and third phases, as the spawner is a powerup that you can get after defeating Medusa's first phase that goes away after you take any damage. This achievement was quite challenging, but it's still not too bad, specially compared to Abstinence, that achievement is actual torture, and it made me not want to play the game for months, hence why this video is being released right now
So, Abstinence requires you to beat Hermit while not collecting any powerups, simple right? First you notice that the shield counts as a powerup, so you only get the one you start with, but no big deal right, you no-hit Medusa and those fights are pretty equal in difficulty. But then you realize two things, the boss has an attack where he spawns a powerup that follows you and spins a laser around, youre meant to use the powerup to quickly go around the boss to dodge it, except for this achievement, you cant do that and must deal with quickly going around the boss while shooting it to make it rotate on the opposite direction of the laser, making the laser spin slower, and deal with the homing powerup that takes a while to disappear (Way longer than the attack itself, making you have to still deal with it after a couple attacks) and some other attacks depending on i think how fast you progress, sometimes the raindrops from the previous attack are still being fired, which makes it an absolute pain to dodge 90% of the time, oh yeah, speaking of the raindrops, they're one of the kinds of bullets in this game that can damage things for you, that might sound good, maybe a strat could be to make the boss hit itself, since you can rotate it by shooting it, then you try for this achievement and you notice that there is a shield container left over, and the raindrops destroy it. The shield powerup when coming from a container will home in on you just like the powerup on the laser attack, but unlike that one, the powerup here WON'T despawn ever. The most consistent way to do this is to wait upwards of half a minute on the first phase in order to make the shield container despawn normally before the raindrops. Genuine pain, never want to go for this achievement again, every attempt feels boring because of the wait and every far death feels soul crushing
Anyway this game is still amazing, I still plan to do more on this game, just might take a while, we pray for nothing else to be as bad as Abstinence iggggg
Also bruh Xenophobia is not that bad idk what people are on about, like it's the third hardest misc achievement but only because Xulgon is by far the hardest boss in the game on normal mode lol
