VAGUE - Archite

Description
VAGUE - Archite!
Adds 8 new subroutines to the Vanilla Races Expanded - Android mod!

Contents

  • Custom-Cost genes: Some genes in this mod require special items to use. All of them require archite capsules. (This was SHOCKINGLY difficult to code.)

  • Stat-Enhancing subroutines: Three generic subroutines that increase Manipulation, Sight, or Moving by 50% (Additive).

  • Vanometric Reactor: Simple, adds 6 power to the android, equivilent to the Enhanced Metabolism base archite-gene. (Costs: 4 Archite Capsules, 2 Advanced Components)

  • Expanded Reactor: Just a bigger reactor, it effectively doubles the lifespan of a reactor... for a similar cost to a new reactor. (Costs: 1 Archite Capsules, 20 Uranium)

  • Welding Mechanites: Lets androids very slowly heal passively! Will automatically tend wounds, prioritising bleeds. (Costs: 2 Archite Capsules, 2 Glitterworld Medicine)

  • Lucifer's Bargain: Androids + Luciferium, what could possibly go wrong? (Costs: 10 Luciferium.)

  • Personal Persona Processor: Embeds an AI persona core into the androids brain. It has shockingly little downsides compared to doing this to a human! (Costs: 1 AI Persona Core, 5 Advanced Components, 4 Archite Capsules)

Possible that it's bugged then, I'll run over the code when I get a chance!

The problem is that I have two androids of same efficiency (+2, so 80% consumption), but one of them has expanded reactor, and the rate power need bar decreases at is the same, which is why I am questioning it. A bug then?

Don't think I can afford juggling mods around too much to figure it out on my now 12 year long save so in either case, thanks for clarifying what it should do

Expanded Reactor should decrease rate of consumption to 50% of normal. This change won't be visible in the creation window though, it will only be visible once the android is built.
DemonX3 22 Sep @ 2:13pm
Hey, does "Expanded Reactor" actually do anything? The power need max capacity is still 100% and it still progresses at same speed as any other android, so it's just an android cost increase for no reason?

Oh! Friends,I think your mod is extremely interesting, but unfortunately, there's no Chinese translation. Therefore, I've translated it into Mandarin for domestic users to enjoy. Please don't mind. Here's the link to the Chinese-localized

anyway to add more gene points in android creator? (Dev mode seems not working)
Breadmond 10 Jul @ 1:29pm
maybe this hypothetical entropic reactor could require a little vanometric generator as part of the recipe to make it

Ah. sounds good. the luciferium thing just implies, well... luciferium addiction and all that. thanks for clearing it up!
Barry, Aged 63  [author] 10 Jul @ 1:29am
The luciferium gene currently just gives a flat bonus with no required upkeep. It's bonuses are +25% consciousness, x80% pain, +20% sight and +50% global work speed.

The drawback is that it costs 10 luciferium to add, so it's up-front cost is much higher than normal, but it has no long term penalties.
Fan 10 Jul @ 12:06am
can you add on to what the luciferium one does? also if not already implemented, i feel like reactor could degrade faster or slower, (possibly even repair itself) based on how high/low the luciferium need is.
