Faiyum Shop 03 Market (2 of 2)

Hayo Jonny, Bear, and friends! Please enjoy Faiyum Bazaar, which is for Channel 5 Gaming's Collab Park Contest. This blueprint comes in 2 parts.

Within the main town, the Faiyum Bazaar is a hub of commerce and technology. The Bazaar's shops and facilities are powered by the careful application of Astralyte to harness water, wind, and solar energy. The waters of the main aqueduct travel amidst Astralyte crystals before powering the water mill. Additionally, Astralyte is placed in the towers of 4 windcatchers in order to harness the power of the winds. Finally, the glass pyramid is oriented to catch the morning and afternoon sun, directing the energy toward the central Astralyte fountain in the geometric center of the atrium. The atrium is bookended with traditional bazaar markets, selling fruits and vegetables, books, vases, pots, and antiquities. Amenities within the complex include Tikichiki, Gulpee Soda, Loony Blooons, a Restroom Block, and an Info Center.

As the sun sets, the Faiyum Bazaar comes to life, bathed in crimson, saffron, and teal lighting. Astralyte-powered neon accompanies many of the surrounding buildings, while the glass pyramid and windcatcher towers offer a celebration of the limitless magic of Astralyte and the harmony that Faiyum has found between nature and technology.

Setup

Setup Preparation & Blueprint Placement

*NOTE: PLEASE USE THE STEAM IMAGES ON THE WORKSHOP FOR REFERENCE*

1. Delete the blue Shop 03 Plot.

2. Flatten the terrain to path level (entire plot) using the flatten to foundation tool. I recommend using 100% intensity with a 10m size.

3. Delete the smallest Chopper's Creek section and the 3 waterfall scenery pieces (nearest to the water mill building that crosses over the path).

4. With the pathing tool, get the grid from the 4m path piece in the "T" shape intersection (pre-existing path) in the middle of the plot.

5. Place 4m grid pathing (squares) to match the pattern on the Steam Workshop picture for Step 5 (alternatively, use the teal signs after Blueprint 1 is placed). Select path settings to match the existing path in the park. For assistance, please refer to the Steam Workshop images. I highly recommend doing the pathing before placing the blueprint though, since it is easier to see where you are pathing.

6. Place both blueprints (labeled 1 of 2 and 2 of 2) using the red alignment cube. Both blueprints are aligned to the park file and are best moved using the world axis when placing. All of the pathing inside the borders of the plot should be covered by floor tiles, but guests' feet shouldn't sink too far into it. Refer to the Steam Workshop images for additional visual cues.

7. Use the push terrain tool to get rid of the protruding terrain on the blue water mill building. This occurs near the water wheel on the edge of the plot. I recommend using 50% intensity with a 5m size.

8. Place Adventure Picnic Benches and Adventure Trash Bins on the designated sign markers inside the atrium. The genie lamp denotes the picnic bench placement, and the teal squares denote the trash bin placement.

9. Delete the Setup Directions group and alignment cubes when complete.

Disclaimer(s): I have built 2 Windcatchers before for my ongoing Al Medina Park project, which is not yet complete; the 4 windcatchers featured in this blueprint were built by me, from scratch, specifically for Faiyum and will not be used in Al Medina Park. I built these 4 Faiyum windcatchers because I liked the idea of carrying forward the idea of Astralyte harnessing different types of energy--to give my blueprint a unique and fitting story in Faiyum Park. Please note, that I have leveraged design motifs from the original 2, which appear on windcatchers of different size/shape/dimension in this blueprint (e.g., non-grid temple pieces that are used to create intricate coving and wall trim). Again, I will reiterate that these 4 windcatchers were built by me from scratch.
