Unstable Sovrium - 2024 Weeklies Week 11

Vinel's alchemy team has given us a number of "fascinating" compounds in recent years, but sovrium is perhaps the most astounding. Not for its properties—although they are remarkable—but for the simple fact that they even tried to make it at all.

I, like most alchemists, won't work with a triplex bond without taking precautions. Keeping it properly stabilised. Not working in an enclosed space. Keeping the triplex-bonded fires safely away from other volatile atoms.

Sovrium could only be made by throwing all those precautions out the window, and praying that your limbs won't soon follow.
